After a decade of Hollywood typecasting and subsisting on personal appearances in costume, Adam West and Burt Ward were hopeful that NBC would give them a shot at reviving the live-action adventures of Batman and Robin. Instead they and the majority of Bat fans were let down by the shoddy production known as “Legends of the Superheroes”. Will JB find anything good to say about these television “specials”? We continue our look back at 70s Saturday Morning Batman and Robin (voiced by Olan Soule and Casey Kasem) as the Caped Crusaders team up with Mysteries, Inc. to thwart Joker and Penguin - not once, but twice! JB reviews The New Scooby-Doo Movies episodes, “The Dynamic Scooby-Doo Affair” and “The Caped Crusader Caper”.
On this episode, JB pays tribute to the two voice actors who portrayed Batman and Robin throughout most of the 1970s, Olan Soule and Casey Kasem. Plus our fearless podcast host does a DVD commentary for the Challenge of the Super Friends episode, "Wanted: The Super Friends".

Inspired by his recent series of reviews of the Power Records audio adventures, our fearless podcast host presents his own audio production of the classic Bronze Age story, “The Joker’s Five-Way Revenge” by Denny O’Neil & Neal Adams. JB also shares his recent adventures at C2E2 as well as the ’66 series’ Batcave at Bronson Canyon and the ’66 Batman exhibit at the Hollywood Museum in Los Angeles.
Sometimes the Dark Knight’s adventures take him away from Gotham City. In one of the more memorable Power Record Book & Record sets, Batman feels the rain down in Africa and investigates a murder in the moors of England. JB reviews “Gorilla City” and “Mystery of the Scarecrow Corpse”.
A change in the voice cast and a noticeable improvement in the production and the writing means we’re now discussing the second volume of Batman audio adventures from Power Records. JB reviews “Robin Meets Man-Bat” and “Catwoman’s Revenge”.
We finally get to talk about The Riddler! In one of the more memorable audio stories from Power Records, The Prince of Puzzlers attempts to outwit the Dynamic Duo yet again. JB reviews “If Music Be The Food Of Death”.
Batman and Robin are on the go as they pursue the Scarecrow and the Catwoman. We continue our look back at the Caped Crusaders’ audio adventures on Power Records with two adaptations of comic book stories originally published in the Golden Age. JB reviews “The Scarecrow’s Mirage” and “Challenge of the Catwoman”
JB begins his look back at the 1975-76 audio adventures of Batman and Robin from Power Records with a review of the classic Joker story, “Stacked Cards”.
We conclude our look back at the 1977 Filmation Series, “The New Adventures of Batman” as the Caped Crusaders and a fearsome foursome of villains get mixed up with Zarbor, an alien from Bat-Mite’s dimension. JB reviews “Have An Evil Day” (Parts 1 & 2) and “This Looks Like a Job for Bat-Mite”.
Gotham City goes thru another energy crisis as Catwoman & Clayface team up rip off all the oil. Meanwhile the Penguin attempts to corrupt the Caped Crusaders with an illicit substance but ends up besides himself. We continue our look back at the 1977 Filmation series with a review of “Curses! Oiled Again!” and “Birds of a Feather Fool Around Together”.
Mr. Freeze makes his one and only appearance on the 1977 Filmation series "The New Adventures of Batman", joining Clayface in his first appearance outside the comics. JB reviews "The Deep Freeze" and "Dead Ringers".
We're halfway through our rewatch and review of the 1977 Filmation series "The New Adventures of Batman" as the Dynamic Duo meet one of the most implausible villains ever created for a Saturday morning cartoon, Batgirl has to endure Bat Mite's unwanted advances, and the Joker returns to enact his five-way revenge against Batman. JB reviews "The Chameleon" and "He Who Laughs Last".
An arch villain from outer space has the Dynamic Duo in the palm of his hand - literally! And the waddling fowl bird of crime is giving lessons in larceny. JB continues his re-watch and reviews of the ’77 Filmation Batman with “Bite Sized” and “Reading, Writing and Wronging”.
Gotham City is plagued by two new villains, Sweet Tooth and Professor Bubbles, as our re-watch of the 1977 Filmation series “The New Adventures of Batman” continues. JB reviews “A Sweet Joke on Gotham City”, and “The Bermuda Rectangle”.
