This case-based presentation covers 3 different presentations of bronchiolitis and the risk factors for which children get the worst of it. A discussion of evidence-based prehospital interventions follows. The hour finishes with 2 fascinating cases of patients presenting with respiratory distress who end up with very unexpected diagnoses.

Dr. Hamilton Schwartz is a board-certified pediatric emergency medicine physician. He is also the Cincinnati Children’s EMS Medical Director and the Pediatric Medical Director for Cincinnati’s Fire Department.
