You asked for it and I'm excited to kick off the first episode of our Disney Cruise Line ports of call reviews! I'm planning to do these episode periodically and hopefully speak to locals about the best ways to visit these ports of call for a single day.
Mark joins me this week, who owns a bed and breakfast on the island of St. Thomas called At Home in the Tropics. Mark gives us the inside scoop on the best restaurants and bars to try, along with suggestions for some local dishes and drinks. We also talk about things to do in port - both touristy and off the beaten path. The Disney Dream was scheduled to sail a 3-Night Bahamian cruise on August 30th. However, because of Hurricane Dorian, the itinerary was first altered to a 5-Night Western Caribbean before ultimately being altered again to add a sixth night. Christine was onboard the Disney Dream during this cruise and talks about her experiences and how situations like these are handled by Disney.
If you'd like to donate to the relief efforts in the Bahamas, Royal Caribbean is collaborating with the Bahamian government and their non-profit partner and will match every dollar donated up to $500,000.
