When Playboy Playmate Dorothy Stratten informed her husband that she wanted a separation, he went into a tailspin. The gory murder-suicide inspired a feud that threatened to destroy the careers of a famous director as well as Playboy founder Hugh Hefner.

Paul Snider brought Dorothy Stratten to Hollywood. While her career took off in the 1970s, he enjoyed the benefits of her success and spent her money. When their relationship became troubled, she felt compelled to stay with him, despite multiple red flags.

On May 19th, 1992, 17-year-old Amy Fisher shot her boyfriend's wife, 37-year-old Mary Jo Buttafuoco, in the side of her head. The resulting trial ignited a decades-long media storm that would wreak havoc on the lives of everyone involved.

With no plans to leave his wife, 17-year old Amy Fisher decided to take matters into her own hands. On May 19th, 1992, Fisher showed up at the Buttafuoco house, rang the doorbell, and shot Mary Jo Buttafuoco in the head.

Dallas real estate tycoon Robert Edelman and his wife Linda rose to prominence during the city’s economic boom in the 1980s. His controlling nature made him a nightmare to live with, and by 1986 the Edelman’s marriage was fractured beyond repair.
