Portimao, Silly Season, and Surgeries - After Portimao | Ep. 144

Did you really think Miguel Oliveira was going to win? Again? On a KTM? In Portugal? What...the...2020. Let the MotoGP Off-Season begin! This one gets nuts and a bit NSFW - I mean, even more than normal.

MotoGP 2020 is decided. Its time to talk championships, later development for Suzuki, Franco Morbidelli and the "worst" Yamaha, the exodus from GP by the old guard, and the disappointment that is Taka Nakagami at Honda.

Valencia Will Decide the 2020 MotoGP Championship? | Ep. 142

It was about time for 2020 to start nailing down the MotoGP champion. Joan Mir now has one hand on the trophy after the Valencia #1 race. Yamaha was caught cheating just before, which turned out to NOT be the worst part of their weekend. And the rest of the grid showed they aren't championship ready - except Alex Rins of course.

A Marquez Shows Up - Le Mans & Aragon 1 | Ep. 140
105 perc 148. rész BrotoGP
The Le Mans and Aragon 1 rounds of MotoGP were full of new surprises. Fabio Quartararo, Joan Mir, Valentino Rossi, Alex Marquez, Andrea Dovizioso - take your pick. They've all left the MotoGP world a little shocked. The 2020 Championship closes up once again! Joe Roberts made the headlines twice for these rounds - one bad and one good tidbit. We'll probably have some time for MotoAmerica and US Road Racing in this one too.
Ducati Racer FAILS in MotoGP - Misano 2 & Catalunya GP | Ep. 139

Huge mistakes had a major impact on the races at Misano and Catalunya with both Pecco Bagnaia and Andrew Dovizioso crashing out. Ducati racers choked and the championship has now swung back in favor of Yamaha and Suzuki - yes Suzuki. Fabio Quartararo is the winningest rider this year, but Joan Mir is coming for him. Dennis and Kev get into a heated debate over the best bike on the grid - Yamaha or Suzuki. One side looks at the numbers and the other goes off emotion, and you might be surprised which is which. And of course, we discuss the interesting year Dovizioso and Ducati are having, including their full team rider swap.

The home crowd at Misano always hopes for a race like this - and they finally got one. Well, maybe except for the last lap. But once again, we were treated to more than a few surprises with this race.

We covered a lot of topics during this episode - KTM vs Suzuki again, the "real" season started at Misano, the effects of COVID and a missing Marquez, Alex Marquez's issues in GP, Maverick's woes, and Dovi's retirement questions. But the main topic is of course Franco Morbidelli, Rossi's legacy, and the VR46 Rider Academy.

Red Flag Chaos During MotoGP - Austria GP 1&2 | Ep. 137
100 perc 145. rész BrotoGP
The uncertainty of MotoGP races in 2020 is insane. The crash during Austria #1 was scary. The rest of the racing, especially Austria #2 was exciting to say the least. Andrea Dovisioso wins within 24 hours of telling Ducati to kick rocks. Joan Mir shows Jack Miller the best line on the final lap. Red flags impacted EVERYTHING. Miguel Oliveira stole the show from both Miller and Pol Espargaro. Oh, and did we mention that Marc Marquez won't be back for a while? We can only hope this insanity continues for the rest of the year.

MotoGP 2020 is something new, something different that you've never seen before. And we like it! GP hit their 2 track (3 round) of the year at Brno this past weekend. As with life right now, it was NUTS! If you haven't seen the race yet, go watch it NOW!

Here are the quick talking points:
- Brad Binder and KTM Won a GP Race.
- Johann Zarco put a 3rd-tier Ducati on the podium even after a bullshit penalty.
- Franco Morbidelli rode like a boss and finally defeated his teammate (and all the other Yamahas).
- Kev finally gets to throw down about the Medical Officers and Marc Marquez's broken arm.

Staying At Home for a Virtual Race? | Ep. 132
102 perc 140. rész BrotoGP
MotoGP hosted a virtual race featuring 10 GP riders that could be convinced to buy a video game. It was definitely fun - but you know Kev had something to rant about. This episode then flows into any topic you can think of. The most relevant topic might be the idea that wishing for pro sports in a normal world might not be the best thing right now. The cutest topic might have been 'cats'. The most off the wall-topic is the surprising and newly formed BrotoGP Book Club. The most entertaining topic might be what classic races should you watch right now. But the best is likely Kev's idea for new content that Dorna should be producing now - 'directors commentary' of races by the racers themselves.
WorldSBK was Amazing, MotoGP is Cancelled! | Ep. 131
97 perc 139. rész BrotoGP
WorldSBK at Phillip Island treated us to some of the closest racing we've seen from that paddock for a decade. Toprak Razgotlioglu, Johnny Rea, and Alex Lowes all took home wins. With Scott Redding bagging three 3rds and Michael Van Der Mark close behind, the championship is tight for the top 5. Hopefully this is a preview of things to come for the entire year and we get a 3-4 horse race for the 'ship.

Unfortunately, amazing racing in Australia isn't the biggest story of the week. The global health crisis has caused cancellations and postponements throughout international sports competition. Dorna Sports has cancelled the Qatar GP for the MotoGP class because of a 2-week quarantine for anyone that has recently been in Italy - which of course is likely half the paddock. Thankfully Moto2 and Moto3 teams were already in Qatar from their winter test and can race. The Thai GP and Qatar WSBK round are both postponed. We have no idea where things will go from here.

Aside from all that serious stuff, this episode was nuts. Join us live next time to get in the middle of all these antics.

MotoGP 2020 Kicks Off at Sepang - Pre-season | Ep. 130

February 2020 is here, which means MotoGP bikes on track for pre-season testing. There has been a lot of racing news over the past month or two. Here's our highlights. Andrea Iannone still isn't riding because his B-sample failed. His lawyers are doing there thing and he might still race this year. Jorge Lorenzo is back on a Yamaha and many are stoked about it. Of course, the Yamaha won testing again. The Dorna Media Machine is making it painfully clear that Marquez's shoulder isn't 100% - BrotoGP isn't sure it'll matter by Valencia. Lastly, Michelin threw a wrench into the entire 2020 season with a new rear tire - Hooray!

You & Andrea Iannone might accidentally be taking PEDs | Ep. 129

Do you take supplements? Are you absolutely certain there are no illicit or banned substances in them? How do you know?

Andrea Iannone has almost failed a drug test, with his A-sample containing an anabolic steroid. BrotoGP has no idea what's going to happen to his career just yet. But first, Kev wants to set a few things straight. #1 - Its very possible to unknowingly consume a tainted supplement. #2 - PEDs would benefit motorcycle racing in more ways than you might think. This goes deep.

After that, we hit up MotoAmerica's loss of the Yoshimura team, their replacement, and what this means for MotoAmerica. Then we talk about the new Superbike Cup and how its going to benefit the Superbike class and MotoAmerica as a whole.

The end of the 2019 MotoGP season brought a big surprise. Jorge Lorenzo announced his retirement after a string of crashes, injuries, and poor results on the Repsol Honda. Alex Marquez was quickly announced as Jorge's replacement, to no one's surprise and to lots of complaints. Kev tries to figure out why, in the real BGP way.

BrotoGP is here to wax poetically about the most exciting things in motorcycle racing. The Japanese GP at Motegi was not one of those. Thankfully we are gifted with a new British Superbike Champ in Scott Redding. Leon Camier and Barni racing gets a little air-time. We cover the "fiasco" that was Race 1 of the WSBK Argentina round in San Juan, based on the little information that we have. And we finally talk about Johann Zarco riding for HRC for the 3 season-ending races. Phillip Island is up tomorrow so listen to this ASAP.

We're back and not much has changed since we last recorded. The 2019 MotoGP championship is sealed with Marquez finishing in front of Dovisiozo. Fabio Quatararo almost won that race just like Kev almost didn't mini-rant this episode. But the real meat and potatoes of this podcast is two points:

1. What's more exciting - good races and a boring championship OR bland races and an exciting championship?
2. Garrett Gerloff is going to race in WorldSBK

Kyle Wyman joins us and bring a lot of insight about some of the racers, especially Gerloff. Of course we talk about the past and future of MotoAmerica with another American going to the world stage. Some of us have high hopes for him and that GRT Yamaha team.

Petrucci, Ducati, and Life-Long Dreams - Mugello 2019 | Ep. 120
91 perc 127. rész BrotoGP
We start this one off with a topic you might not expect... Jorge Lorenzo. Jorge Lorenzo isn't exactly setting the grid on fire with his performances on the RC213V. It might be considered the best bike in MotoGP, but he simply cannot ride it well enough. But that doesn't mean Jorge is going to be dropped from the team (early).

Mugello was the culmination of a life's work for Danilo Petrucci and it showed on his face in parc ferme. A win on your home soil, in front of all those fans, against the best-of-the-best, with 0 asterisks has got to feel amazing. Did you know he almost quit GP entirely... twice? Danilo is a beast and we are so lucky to get to see this moment.

Andrea Dovizioso was given a lot of credit for Petrucci's win - by Petrucci himself. And its odd in the hyper-competitive environment of MotoGP to HELP your teammate beat you. But it happened. So we have to wonder why. Is Dovizioso training his teammate in an effort to beat Marquez for the title? Someone needs to finish between Dovi and Marc - Petrucci might be the best candidate.

The Mugello race showed once again that Alex Rins has what it takes to fight for wins. The Suzuki and Rins are maximizing their strengths of turning and tire conservation and minimizing their weakness of HP - and we really mean "minimizing", see Yamaha's woes. Because of all this, we thankfully have a 3rd rider spicing up the championship. Rins will take more points off of Marquez later this season - he should be worried.

Its hard to get BrotoGP to talk about Yamaha in MotoGP, especially with Rossi crashing out of his home race at Mugello. I don't want to deb the whole thing, but the story is old. They still don't have a handle on their electronics. Their HP deficit seems to be growing year after year. They are definitely the 4th-best bike on the grid. Perhaps Mugello 2019 can be their low point and we'll have something positive to say next time out.

Rider safety in MotoGP is thankfully something that isn't taken lightly. So when Valentino Rossi and Marc Marquez call for changes to the icon Mugello Grand Prix circuit to make it safer, people listen. Yet is that really the best solution here? The braking zone for turn 1 is less safe because the GP bikes are almost at 360kph. So why not just slow them down?
New Rivalries Heat Up at Le Mans 2019 - Ep. 119
120 perc 126. rész BrotoGP
There were a trio of Ducati's near the front of Le Mans and two of them are building a massive rivalry for that factory seat - Petrucci and Miller. This race goes to Petrux. But we'll be keeping an eye on both of them, on and off-track. Kev shares an amazing story about pizza. Then we dive into the surprise of Fabio and the disappointment of Mav, building our own rivalry for them. We jump into some cognitive dissonance to make unsurprising wins a little more exciting. Then we finish this one off with all the drama and surprise surrounding KTM, Pol, and Zarco. Oh, and we talk about hype, spoilers, and the announcers - good and bad.
Fabio’s Fantastic Front-row Finds Flummoxing Finish - Ep. 118
93 perc 125. rész BrotoGP
GP made it back to Europe for the Jerez round. Classically, this means the factory teams and the championship contenders start gapping the rest of the field... but that isn't exactly what happened. Marquez still did his thing after HRC convinced him the COTA crash was the bike's fault. But we had plenty of surprises from Quartararo, Morbidelli, and Vinales. And there were a few "1-star reviews" on top of that with disappointments from Jorge, Dovisiozo, and even Rossi. On top of that, KTM and Zarco are making plenty of headlines for the wrong reasons. Enjoy.

WorldSBK is at a crossroads right now. Bautista is winning everything (literally) and bringing more eyes to the series. But if he keeps doing it, will they stay? Rea and Kawi may fight back, but that arms race is going to leave other factories behind. Kev has a solution, but its probably not what you think.

Rins 'Rins' at COTA, Marquez Crashes - Ep. 116
100 perc 123. rész BrotoGP
MotoGP at Circuit of the Americas gave all the fans plenty of surprises. Rins' talent and Suzuki's development have been confirmed with their first win together, Suzuki's first since Vinales left the team. America fans were able to see Rossi back on the box. And Jack Miller showed us that he can ride the Pramac Ducati in the dry like the best Pramac riders before him - with a few extra f-bombs.

But that's not all. Marquez may have showed us that if he doesn't practice crashing (in practice), he may not be able to accomplish those amazing saves during a race. Honda shit the bed with one of their worst weekends in recent memory. Kev has words for the announcers over Iannone's crash and their coverage. And of course, we gotta talk a little about jump starts.

There was no time for Moto2, Moto3, or WSBK in this one. So catch us soon, before GP at Jerez, for more coverage of those races.
Ducati: If You're Not Cheating, You're Not Trying - Ep. 115
94 perc 122. rész BrotoGP
There are two GP riders that have figured out Qatar: Marquez and Dovizioso. But one of them has the most patience and the best drive. The race was phenomenal for all the tactics and the battles between a large group with some unexpected riders. We expected the group, but who knew that Rins, Cal, and Mir would be there, everything considered. Rossi and Jorge's performances are applauded as well, though maybe for different reasons than you might think.

Of course, that wasn't the biggest story all weekend. Ducati came out swinging at Qatar with innovations that are pushing the limit in MotoGP. The other factories (except Yamaha) have already protested their implementation of a rear tire cooling device. And we love all the drama!

We round this one out talking about rookies. Kev is pioneering the Fabio train. Olivera gets a mention because of some surprises on the KTM. And the rest left us a little disappointed, at least for Round 1.
Has Ducati Put WorldSBK in a Sticky Situation? - Ep. 114

Its official - Ducati has built an almost-GP bike for racing in WSBK and its amazing already. Alvaro Bautista trounced the field at Phillip Island, winning all three races. The only thing he did "bad" was his Superpole lap. But what does this mean for WorldSBK? We are going to love seeing someone else have a real shot at the title against Rea and Kawasaki. What about Davies, Rinaldi, and Laverty? What about next year? What about all the private teams? What about selling homologation specials? Its the start of the year and there are lots of questions.

After that, we discuss the wounded racers riding for HRC. So far its 2-1 that Cal will get the short end of the stick with his near career-ending injuries. But its still yet to be seen how well Marc and Jorge will do in the early part of the season. Then we finish this off with the "coolest" rider in GP.

Wet Valencia 2018 Defies Expectations - Ep. 111
92 perc 117. rész BrotoGP
Valencia was WET and our expectations were thrown out the window. All three races were crash-filled sufferfests, but that really helped a few performances to stand out. We start off with Suzuki, Rins, and their new found consistency on the podium. Then we move onto KTM, their investment, and the results they've achieved so far in all classes. Then we get into the bad. Will Marquez's shoulder injuries end his career? And if so, will it be quick or slow? Lastly, we finish off with a few random things like Redding and Iannone's antics and Kev's Moto2 dream coming true.
Syahrin Delights, Rossi Disappoints - Ep. 110
89 perc 116. rész BrotoGP
You can probably already guess that BrotoGP is a little bit sad over Rossi's crash. We were robbed of a good finish to all the tension that had been building over the race. So this episode goes a little different than normal.

We start with a quick race recap. But then things get more philosophical. Nostalgia and how its affecting motorcycle racing as a whole is the big topic here. I was disappointed that Rossi crashed, but also not as surprised as I should have been. I'm also not surprised that WSBK will feature more old talent than new talent next year. And there are plenty of people on the internet still talking about some retired racers. Why!?!?!

After we talk about that, BGP give you our pics for the light at the end of the tunnel. Of course Hafizh makes that list with his amazing result in front of his home crowd. And you can probably guess who else is on that list.

Lastly, we talk a little about racing in America with the speculation that WSBK may not visit Laguna Seca this year. Enjoy.

Because all those riders were out, Yamaha got a gift in the race - or did they? Then we jump over to something we've never discussed before - Alvaro Bautista. He did some amazing things on a Factory bike and he might have made a few people look silly. Then we finish this one off with a few random topics.

But we don't spend much time on that. Instead, Kev gets to rant about Marquez's insincere title and win celebration. We ain't that mad about the 8-bit thing. We mad about everything else. Aside from that, Rob gets to talk about rules concerning Lorenzo's replacement and Fabio's disqualification. We again talk about the 3rd-best bike on the grid: Suzuki or Yamaha? And we even cover American Road Racing talent in a useful tangent.
Valentino Rossi Did What in Thailand? - Ep. 107
74 perc 113. rész BrotoGP
Valentino Rossi managed to double Yamaha's number of laps led in Thailand. Isn't that... sad? Our expectations for the Yamaha factory team have always been higher. So its not surprising that we are a bit disappointed that's the only notable thing they've been able to accomplish lately. We cover that for a bit, even through some technical difficulties. Our other main story is how Michelin and the Thailand heat and track layout affected the racing. All the riders struggled with rear tire durability and grip like never before, wearing out their rear tires even in the center. Thankfully, all this produced another Michelin-era style race with a large pack and a great end of race battle for the win. We talk about Jorge Lorenzo some and finish off with some quick BrotoGP Awards for the weekend.
Ana Carrasco Wins Like a Girl & Iannone Podiums - Ep. 106

Since we failed at recording last week, we've got twice as much to cover with Aragon MotoGP AND Magny-Cours WSBK. We cover the highlights, namely Iannone with Suzuki and Ana Carrasco in WSS300. But of course there was a bunch of other drama: Jorge whining about Marquez and their make-up phone call, Yamaha's irrelevance in GP, Aleix Esparagaro's performance on the Aprilia, and a bunch of other random things. Then we finish off with a few listener questions.
Romano Fenati Is Black-Balled - Ep. 105

Off-track action overshadowed what turned out to be some average races this weekend at Misano. Marquez tried to shake Rossi's hand. Romano Fenati went WAY TOO FAR and is now completely ousted from the paddock. And Dani Pedrosa might be signing to test ride for KTM.

But wait, there was actually a race too. Yama-who showed us once again that they don't have a handle on the tires, electronics, or anything needed to win in GP anymore. Jorge made a somewhat rare mistake. And Dovi rode a nail-bitingly perfect race.

We finish this one off with some interesting listener questions, including a few that have nothing to do with MotoGP.

MotoAmerica's Kyle Wyman sits down with BrotoGP for a big heart-to-heart interview. We've all seen him race and on social media, but do we really know who he is as a racer, a team owner, or as a person?

First we talk about the upcoming race in New Jersey and why its previously been a great round for him. We jump back to the last round at PittRace and figure out what changed. Rob get's to talk tires a bit as Kyle describes the difficulties with some mid-season changes from Dunlop. Then things get real serious as we find out who Kyle is and what trials and tribulations he's faced throughout his life and racing career. He's living the dream of racing motorcycles for a living and he's worked for it.

Austrian GP and the New Jorge Lorenzo - Ep. 102
116 perc 107. rész BrotoGP
Last weekend, we were surprised when Jorge Lorenzo rode like someone else. This weekend in Austria, he proved the New Jorge is here to stay - and he can win. Marc Marquez showed us again that he can tranform from WinOrBin to WinOrPodium. Dovi put up a fight, but one bigger mistake took him out of the running and now Ev is worried about him. Yamaha is still down in the dumps. And Scott Redding blew up in all the right ways.

BrotoGP was also at Sonoma Raceway this past weekend for MotoAmerica. We interviewed some racers like Kyle Wyman, Josh Herrin, and Josh Hayes, went pro with some questions in the press conference, and had an amazing race weekend. There's plenty to talk about with MotoAmerica and the future of American Road Racing - maybe Scott Redding will be part of it.

We cover Moto2 real quick, with a few highlights. Then we finish this one off with some listener questions from Instagram.
I Clapped For Bizarro Jorge Lorenzo at Brno - Ep. 101

I'm not even sure Jorge Lorenzo expected his performance at Brno. Maybe he felt that result coming, but there's no way he knew that everything about his race would be very anti-Jorge. I clapped and he deserved it. Is he finally embracing the villain role - I doubt it, but we can hope.

Dovi, Jorge, and Ducati put together an amazing weekend at a bogey track. Marquez showed new levels of maturity in his 100th race in the premier class. And Yamaha faltered ever so slightly... again with some help from Stephan Bradl. BrotoGP breaks all that down and Kev drops a few surprises in there for you too.

Then we get into Moto2 and the continuing lack of Spanish winners. Pecco, Balda, and Luca Marini are showing what VR46 has to offer the pro road racing world. Oliveria improved his QP woes and is riding the KTM like the title challenger we knew he would be. We expect the whole Moto2 season to continue to build so keep watching.

Marc Marquez pulled his normal performance at Sachsenring with pole position by a narrow margin and a very controlled win. You may or may not have been surprised - Rob was, Kev wasn't. Thankfully, there were better stories behind him in Yamaha and Ducati's performances.

We then hit up Dani's announcement, the potential arrival of Fabio Quartararo in the class, and bag on Simon again. Kev's point is mostly unchanged on that last one. We try to finish off with a bunch of listener questions. Somehow WSBK and the potential explosion that could be their Silly Season comes up to keep this one going.

What can you say about one of the best GP races ever? Do you tell people it was amazing and then move on? No - this is BrotoGP! You stir the pot, drop the syllabus, and talk about everything you can.

Ya we cover the race - Jorge's start, Rossi slamming into Lorenzo, Dovizioso and Rossi tangling, Marquez nearly falling off, Rins and Vinales finally putting it all together. But the stories, the drama, lie elsewhere. The race was slow AF, maybe due to the wind - and no one was able to pull away. Race direction felt it necessary to investigate someone making contact with Marquez. The tire compounds were all mixed up. Suzuki performs, but is it repeatable. Mav might be past his confidence issues. Zarco has reached the consequences of peak frame... Just like the race, this episode is all over the place as we try to cover it all.

Of course, we finish off with some listener voicemails and questions from IG. Enjoy.

Dani didn't retire. Mav didn't go much faster. And Michelin didn't make consistent tires. Those last 3 tenths might be all in their heads. So how are they doing it or why aren't they? Winning Yamahas in MotoAmerica & WorldSBK - Ep. 96
91 perc 100. rész BrotoGP
Superbike racing had 2 amazing weekends recently with MotoAmerica at RoadAmerica and WorldSBK at Brno. You asked for more non-MotoGP coverage, so you are getting it!

Toni Elias, Cam Beaubier, and Josh Herrin put in some amazingly hard passes in America's National Series for the best 2 races we've seen all year. Someone went down, drama bubbled up, and Rob wonders if penalties are going to get in the middle of this great racing. America still seems to follow "turnabout is fair play" and we like it.

WorldSBK race 1 isn't worth talking about... but race 2, oh man. The two factory Kawasaki racers came together, reminding us of recent GP incidents. And again, Rob wonders about penalties - did Race Direction only not penalize Sykes because he crashed after? On top of that Alex Lowes put in a solid performance to take his first SBK win and Yamaha's 3rd in 4 races.

Lastly, we introduce our new segment, the BrotoGP Hotline. Petrucci Iannone Rossi Rossi Dovi Hayden. Call us, ask a question, and you could make it onto the show!
Mugello, Jorge, and Skid Marc's - Ep. 95

Mugello went down, and so did Marquez! New and unexpected is always thrilling. So even if Jorge leading out front for the entire race is 'meh', we were still excited by this one because he finally got his win on the Duc. Marquez fully crashed this race, going down and missing out on a grip of points. Kev has some rant-y ideas for why. Dovi and Rossi were exactly where they needed to be with solid performance to put 2 Italians on the podium. Petrucci whined a bit about Marquez's rough pass but still came away with a good finish. And since this was recorded on Tuesday, we had plenty of post-race Silly Season news to talk about: Dani out at HRC, Jorge to Repsol, Petrucci to Factory Duc, and more.

This is Episode 95, not 94! Wups!
Le Moans - Ep. 94
105 perc 98. rész BrotoGP
We owe everyone a LeMans GP episode, and you all know what happened - every rider that mattered honey-potted us into thinking the race was going to be amazing. Marquez dropped spots early to spice up the race. Jorge put on a good show in the first few laps. Dovi and Zarco had something for MM's race pace. And Danilo and Rossi had a good battle... but it all didn't matter.

The Silly Season is still hot because we all don't know what Jorge is going to do. There's big rumors about Joan Mir and Suzuki. We talk some retirement for Dani Pedrosa. Iannone may go to Repsol. And Duc is publicly talking shit about Lorenzo. WTH?

For the first time this season, WSBK gave us 2 unexpected exciting races. So we gotta cover it. No one would have guessed that Michael van der Mark would win, let alone completely own Rea and do the double. We try not to bag on Rea too much, but he is killing WSBK.

We finish this one off with a few listener questions.

After that we jump over to Suzuki, their run of form, and their potential 2019 rider line-up. Zarco comes up, both for his podium and top Yamaha finish and signing for KTM. Then we make a ton of comparisons with Suzuki, KTM, and Yamaha. And finally, we round this out with a bunch of shit-talking... Cal Bashing Time and our Simon Watch. Enjoy.

The track surface was in shambles with old bumps, new bumps, and tons of dust from an attempted bump removal - Kev blames the weather. We talk Ducati and the very different fortunes of Dovi and Jorge. Rob even nerd's out and speculates why COTA is so mean to them. Argentina Part 1, The Build-Up - Ep. 88
70 perc 89. rész BrotoGP
What a weekend for MotoGP in Argentina! There is just too much to talk about and I have no idea how we are going to get through it all. The whole crazy weekend started with qualifying. Jack Miller had the cojones and skill to ride on slick tires through a river running across Turn 7 and 8, while everyone else was using rain tires. With that, we just knew the weekend wouldn't be "normal". We jump back to Aron Canet's stupid choices during practice, legit taking out another rider. Dorna shows their cards early here with no penalty. Then we get to the MotoGP grid. Miller ends up with a huge pole advantage, about 3 rows total. We thought things were going to settle down then. But no... Marquez stalls the bike, ignores the marshals, and rides backwards on the track. The race finally starts and Dani Pedrosa is an early victim of some hard racing. And that's just the first lap!!!

The first race of the year for MotoGP at Qatar did not disappoint. Qualifying was insane with the entire grid very close and an amazing recording breaking lap by Zarco. The race was amazing, with the field bunched up, tons of action every lap, and lots of surprises. And yet... everyone wants to talk about Simon Crafar!

Kev gets his (first) rant in early and we talk plenty about not-racing. Then we jump over to Zarco, his performance, and the rumors surrounding him. Marquez Boos come up which gets Kev heated again. Of course we talk about Dovi and how this outlier round might shape up his entire season. We bag on Lorenzo as much as possible and wonder who will replace him. And there's plenty to say about Rossi vs Mav at Yamaha. This episode finishes off with Kev a little drunk and us talking shit about anyone, but with love.

The list order is completely made up based on Rob's performance expectations for each team and somewhat on how they did last year. Towards the end when talking about Factory teams, the list blurs together some. But thats how it goes when we are speculating about title performances. Kev and Ev aren't so hopeful about having an exciting head-to-head title battle this year. But this is racing - anything can happen.

Kawi missed the setup and had a bunch of small problems that made it impossible for them to dominate. Rob gets a lot of air time talking about tires, as Pirelli screwed up big time with riders experiencing massive tire issues. He even goes over the WSBK rule changes and whether or not they did anything (yet). After all those WSBK shenanigans, we start talking about some riders that are important to us - Gagne, PJ, Hafizh, Pecco, and MM. We were supposed to start this one on the new flurry of winglets, but Kev had something else in mind. We do still manage to get a little technical on winglets. Then we jump into what everyone has been asking about... the complaints and woes of Jorge, Mav, and Rossi. Duc is going well for everyone but Jorge. Mav can't figure anything out with the 2018 M1 chassis and wants an old one. And Rossi is mostly complaining about software. Two major things happened in the past week or two that you want us to talk about - MotoE is coming to the GP championship and Grid Girls have been banned from the series that shall not be named (Formula1). However, there's no way we can say that the last race of the year wasn't ridiculously exciting. Kev kicks us off with a sad story, but things liven up quick. Marques is the GP beast that can crash but not crash and still win the title. Dovi is every man, the underdog, world's fastest dad. Yamaha shit the bed for the latter half of the season, so much they decided to start testing early. Rins goes full #movember and puts in a solid performance, but then has a rough night with Suzuki. HRC subsequently cuts his internet off even though we had moved onto Zarco's performance and the issues Factory Yamaha is having. We round out GP by discussing Jorge's slow transformation into a real Ducati rider. Then we jump to Moto2 and Franco, the first successful VR46 Academy rider. Then we talk about Yamaha's last minute resurgence to double podium and Mav's dog. We move on to Duc's lack of team orders and their choke-fest of a race. Irrelevant Dani Pedrosa, Indiana Jones, and Suzuki's recent form get plenty of air time. Then things go nuts with more conspiracy theories and the best listener questions we've ever received.

We go over Marquez's mistake and someone even brings up a huge Dorna-Marquez conspiracy. Mind blown. Then we jump on Yamaha and their failed attempts to improve on peak frame. Suzuki and KTM are shown no love. We tell everyone what's up with the new winglets. We cover more listener questions. Then we even talk about Ben Spies' return to MotoAmerica. We talk about the woes that WSBK is having, why Duc didn't challenge for the title, what's going on with Camier and MV, and a bunch of other shit. Then we segue to improving WSBK competition and viewership, both with our hopes for rule changes and any potential for Americans in the series. We use that to transition to MotoAmerica, where we give you the whole rundown. Toni and Suzuki destroyed everyone and the racing was great. We also discuss the talent in MA and where we hope its going to end up. But MA is taking a huge risk next year with rule changes, some we like and some we don't. There are quite a few tangents in there too. Then we finish this off with listener questions again.
Episode 73 - Marquez, Boooooooooo
113 perc 74. rész BrotoGP
You waited, but this one is worth it. Some fans have asked for longer episodes, so here you go - 2 hours of BrotoGP madness! Kev kicks us off with a mind-melting story, then we jump right into Misano. Marquez showed us his best old school Rossi impression, toying with his competitors all race. We talk about Duc, we talk about rain, we cry over Petrucci. Then we move onto Aragon... and more Marquez. He didn't have the feeling, heat was a huge variable, but he still won. The championship has firmly swung in his direction. We ain't mad, just booooooooo. Kev explains. Of course, we gotta talk about Rossi's broken leg putting everyone behind him to shame. Dani's whining about Rossi gets some time. And Kev expresses his disappointment for Maverick's performances. We cover Nick Harris, KTM, and jump into listener questions too. Did I tell u this one was long? Enjoy.
Episode 72 - A Piece of Cake For Dovi
66 perc 73. rész BrotoGP
We are stoked on Silverstone this year, mostly because everyone likes to cheer for under-dogs. Dovi won another race and then told everyone he wasn't the fastest racer on track, #humblebrag. He now has the most wins this season, is leading the championship, and somehow is able to make every tire last race distance. We then move on to Marquez and HRC's blown motor. Some of us cheered, some didn't, but everyone is stoked that the championship is tighter than ever. Then we hard transition to the factory Yamahas, their differing tire strategies, whether or not the Misano test did anything, and Mav's confidence for the remaining tracks. Lastly, tons of follower questions & topics... MarcVDS collusion, the KTM/Pol/Bradley/Kallio insanity, and even cake!
Episode 71 - Ducati Moses' Hat Trick
76 perc 72. rész BrotoGP
Crazy races and amazing last lap battles bring insane BrotoGP episodes. Too much happened in this one to recap it all in a short paragraph, but I'll try. We flub the intro (kinda), RiderzLaw gets a nice plug, and we jump into the last lap of the race. Dovi outsmarted Marquez, racing to his and the Ducati's strengths. So we try to make that sound good. Pedrosa get some air time as he helped the two title contenders pull away, especially as Factory Yamaha struggles for braking stability. Then, Kev and Rob get heated over whether or not Jorge is gonna make it. Then the shit talking really starts with Pol & Bradley at KTM, and the insane hall of shame that is Miller, Redding, and Lowes. Lots of nard jokes too, you'll see.
Episode 70 - Marquez' Masterclass Masterstroke Melee
68 perc 71. rész BrotoGP
Racing is back after the unreasonably long summer break. BrotoGP is back. And Marc Marquez is definitely back. The mostly-dry weekend was building to an amazing dry race where no one really knew who had the pace to win... then it rains just a little bit. Once again in tricky conditions, Marquez showed us that he and his team have that shit down to a science, while two of his main title challengers dropped the ball. Rossi might actually realize now - after this race - that he has no clue when to come in to switch to slicks. And hopefully this is Ducati's one major mistake for Dovi and his title hunt. We show Mav and Dani some love for not digging that grave and getting on the box. Then we get to talk about everyone's favorite carbon fiber awesomeness - winglets! Duc finally homologated an aero fairing and people have some strong opinions about it. Lastly, we introduce a new segment called the "Hall of Shame" and Kev goes HAM on it. Enjoy!
Episode 69 - Nicky Hayden's Excellent Adventure
51 perc 70. rész BrotoGP
Nicky Hayden just won the MotoGP World Championship after a tense race in Valencia! Everyone counted him out after the shit that went down in Portugal 2 weekends ago, losing his title lead. All the haters just expected Rossi to cruise to another consecutive title. But it didn't happen! Can you tell we are excited? This episode is pretty straight forward. Nicky gets a ton of love for his underdog story that culminated in the best moment of his career. Rossi chokes and we gotta wonder if he still has it - can he ever win again without the best bike on the grid? We jump over to Ducati and the amazing performance that the wildcard rider Troy Bayliss put in to win. And of course, we talk a ton of shit about other riders like Casey Stoner, their performances all year and what we expect next year with the new 800cc bikes. Then we finish this one off all classy, just like Rossi and especially Nicky.
Episode 68 - VR46 vs Nepotism vs KTM
64 perc 69. rész BrotoGP
It feels like forever since we discussed Moto2. We are still stuck in the summer break, so this felt like a great time to brush up on the intermediate class and discuss the racers leading the championship - the top 5 in reverse order. Racers make most of the stories and bitches love stories. Pecco Bagnaia is up first as the only Moto2 rookie to make an impact so far this year. Then we jump on Alex Marquez, his nepo-tastic results really getting Kev riled up. Miguel Oliveira and KTM make Rob eat a bunch of crow. Everyone's favorite journeyman Luthi sits in 2nd and has the entire BrotoGP crew hoping he doesn't win the 'ship. And lastly, we get to Franco, his awesome jerry curl, and the development of the VR46 crew. We are also giving away an amazing Nicky Hayden art print, so check out our social media for how to win that.
Episode 67 - Chaz, Please Make WSBK Fun Again
57 perc 68. rész BrotoGP
Rapid fire episode, WSBK this time. The last one wasn't short enough and this one isn't either - still worth it. We talk about racing first, specifically how Chaz and Rea went full on beast-mode in separate races. We even cover the American wildcard Gagne a bit. Then the shit starts flying. Kev had it up to here with Laguna's shitty cell service and WSBK's ridiculous grid reshuffle system. The perfect storm of crap meant that Laguna's best turnout in years was all for nothing, creating yet another forgettable Sunday of WSBK racing. But all is not lost - BrotoGP has the solutions. Make WSBK great again!
Episode 66 - Elias, the MotoAmerican Dream
49 perc 67. rész BrotoGP
Surprise! Its the summer break but BrotoGP is gonna be bringing you a bunch of new content. We just got back from Laguna Seca and MotoAmerica is up first. The racing was phenomenal and dare I say, Kev was a bit surprised. MotoAmerica and practically everyone racing in it have had a huge resurgence in the past few years and thats all we are going to talk about. Toni Elias is living the true MotoAmerican dream leading the SBK title. Josh Herrin finally puts his privateer Yamaha on the box. There are rider stories left and right and we expect that it will attract fans, money, and maybe even new riders. MotoAmerica is rising from the ashes and it rocks.
Episode 65 - Fraud Marquez Pretends to Lead Germany
63 perc 66. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP coming at you a little late this week, but we made it. Ev & Dennis are missing so Nak from the Motos and Misfits Podcast joins us to make this a good one. Marquez won at Sachsenring again, but not in the normal convincing fashion - and the pressure came from a very surprising racer. We hit up how HRC development is going, then start talking about the title. Is Marquez the real title leader or is it just #fakenews? After covering all the variability and errors this year, we jump over to Yamaha wondering if they are in trouble. Using something resembling the better performing 2016 frame isn't a good look for them. Rob finally gets his way as the Zarco hype train starts to derail and we jump on the Folger train. We close this one out with Silly Season talks and a bit of shenanigans as always. Enjoy.
Episode 64 - Dr Rossi All Up In Dat Assen
74 perc 65. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP has been traveling all over the place this past weekend, but the race was so amazing that we had to get you this episode real quick. First off, we give away a sweet Suomy helmet to a faithful listener. Then we jump right into exactly what you want to hear about - The Doctor winning at Assen. What can we say, you can never count him out... especially once Yamaha gives him a chassis he likes. We then hit up the other notable Yamaha riders, namely Maverick and Zarco's mistakes and any potential mindf***s. Ducati showed us this weekend that they truly are title contenders, so Dovi and Petrux get a bit of air-time. Then we go over the ups and downs of HRC. We finish this one off with silly season rumors and some shenanigans about Jack Miller.
Episode 63 - The Dovi's In The Details
72 perc 64. rész BrotoGP
We are like the Oprah of Motorcycle Podcasts, we just giving shit away. Listen to this one to learn how to win something awesome. Dovi surprised us again with his second dry win in 7 days, #ducatimoses. The coy racer downplayed the whole thing in the press conference. But you know we had to answer everyone's question - Are Dovi and Duc actually title contenders? We jump over the Marquez crash-fest and discuss his title rebound with a solid result. Then we really start talking mistakes and errors. Did Michelin screw up this race? Do they have too much control over the series? What's up with Yamaha? Aprilia... really? Lastly, we cover some Silly Season rumors and how it relates to the epic-ness that was the last lap for Moto3.
Episode 62 - Mugello and Ducati Moses

We all know why you are listening to this episode... we are giving away free stuff! Kev starts us off with some amazing reviews then we jump right into that Zarco visor. After that, all the amazing races from Mugello stand on their own. Dovi is now aptly named the 'Ducati Moses'. Matia Pasini gets some love for producing the best Moto2 race of the year. And we marvel at the batshit-crazy that was Moto3 and Andrea Migno's first win. We lose Everett right about there so this one becomes a Kev&Rob show. Mav and Marquez get some air time for contrasting performances. Kev brings back Cal Bashin' Time for his stupid words about Dani. Then we actually compare Jorge & Petrucci. We finish this one off with a story from Mugello and thoughts of Catalunya.
Episode 61 - Rossi Falls as Zarco Breaks Through
60 perc 62. rész BrotoGP
After some consideration, we decided to still record this week's podcast to celebrate an incredible weekend of racing and in part the life of Nicky Hayden. Kev starts us off in best way he knows, though we will do more to honor Nicky once we have more time. Then we jump into the hottest topic in GP, Johann Zarco. CycleGear hooked us up and we've got a Zarco-giveaway for you, so listen to find out how to win it. We then move over to the race winner Maverick, discuss the huge mistakes by the two other contenders, and even talk about Pedrosa again. Jack Miller's amazing words for Lorenzo come up and we finish this one off with dreams of Mugello. A bit mellow this time, but I don't think you expected anything else.

*Apologies about the static. I'm on it.
Episode 60 - Dani 3000
62 perc 61. rész BrotoGP
The Jerez GP round is supposed to be normal, a return back to Europe where we finally see how the real championship contenders will do. But not this year. Herve Poncharal ate his boogers. Dani Pedrosa reminded everyone why he has so many wins and is now 10pts back from title lead. Marquez was unable to successfully push hard for the win. Both factory Yamaha's struggled worse than their Satellite counterparts. Jorge got on the box. Jack Miller kinda threw down, twice. How much more crazy could this round get?!?! This was a fun one, enjoy.
Episode 59 - Franco's Rise, Fenati's Redemption, and Duc's Road to Ruin
65 perc 60. rész BrotoGP
Everyone at BGP felt like we left a lot on the table from last episode. There was so much more to talk about after the COTA round but we know you aren't going to listen to 2hr episodes. So here's our extension of that... AND we even talk about WSBK! This episode starts off with the two underclasses in GP. Franco and Fenati get a lot of air time with plenty of shit-talking. Then we jump over to WSBK starting with the QP incident, Davies' harsh words, and Rea's penalty. On to the racing, its hard to not talk about Rea's dominance and how badly Ducati seems to be choking. That leads us back to Ducati in GP, which was unfortunately more of the same story. We finish this one off with a small preview of the upcoming racing in Jerez.
Episode 58 - This Ain't Marquez' First Rodeo
54 perc 59. rész BrotoGP
GP was in America and Marquez won again - are u actually surprised? Even though the winner was somewhat expected, a ton of shit went down and we've got A LOT to talk about. Sorry we don't get to Moto2, Moto3, or MotoAmerica, but I still think you'll enjoy this one. Kev-Rants everywhere! We start off with a slight race recap, jumping right into early mistakes and on-track contact. Zarco gets plenty of air time, especially as we dive into the "bullshit" Rossi penalty. Maverick's mistakes get brought up, including his QP incident with Rossi. Then we move over to the Honda's and Marquez' win. Dani finally makes a podcast too now that he put on a good race, just not good enough to win. We finish this one off with some quick listener questions and more shenanigans.
Episode 57 - Doctor Rossi Prescribes Spanish Crashes
55 perc 58. rész BrotoGP
Maverick continued his domination of everything GP with another win in Argentina. But that's no the main focus of this episode. There were a lot of factory rider crashes that really shook up the field, yet a bunch of the riders claimed "ideal conditions" before the race. Rossi capitalized by putting in a very solid 350th GP after a tough weekend in practice and qualifying. Marquez, Pedrosa, Dovi, Jorge, and Aleix managed the opposite. We talk about some tires, the dirty track, rider's claims about pushing or not, and anything else to try to decipher this crash-fest. Karel Abraham gets some air time for his amazing qualifying performance and not binning-it in the race. Then we move on to KTM's performance in GP, if you can call it that, and their success in Moto2. This episode even gets a bit silly after the outro, so don't shut it off right away.
Episode 56 - Turn and Burn with Maverick in Qatar
77 perc 57. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP is back to full stride with GP racing in the Qatar desert. RiderzLaw and CycleGear are helping us out and we even give away a helmet in this episode. We talk about the weather first because this race almost didn't happen - what a clusterf***. Then we jump into the podium finishers and how they got there. After some shenanigans with a helmet and our listener reviews, we bring up some notable performances from Iannone, Aleix, and Zarco. Speaking of the M1, we then explore the development and ride-ability of the different factory bikes. We get to some forgettable performances, specifically from Marquez and Jorge. SAD. Then we finish this one off with a little Moto2 and Moto3 chat.
Episode 55 - Maverick's Greatest Test, Duc's Great Ducts, and the Great Rossi Helmet Giveaway

But before we get there, CycleGear is now sponsoring BrotoGP and we are giving away a sick AGV Rossi Replica Helmet. Listen to figure out how to win it. After that, we cover the mind-boggling sneaklets, ducted winglets, whatever you want to call them, that Ducati finally debuted. Then we break into our grid review, starting the KTMs. Longest episode ever, definitely worth it!
Episode 54 - WSBK Opener is REA-lly Good, Watch It
55 perc 55. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP has a bit of a dilemma every time WSBK racing comes around. Everyone seems to care about GP more and SBK racing gets a bit lost. So for this episode, we are going to convince you (and Kev) to watch this racing. Crazy shit went down in Phillip Island with 3 amazing races. The Rea vs. Davies battle resumed with Marco Melandri spicing it up on the other Duc. The grid shuffle allowed more racers to fight up front in Race2. Even WSS had a crazy tight finish between some unexpected podium finishers. Aside from all that, Kev talks shit about fake factory teams and the little hope their riders have. We sneak in our thoughts on the WSS talent, the new R6, and what will happen when Kenan comes back. Then we hard segue over to GP and talk about the only bit of recent news - Marquez dislocating his other shoulder and his hopes for a long record-breaking career.
Episode 53 - Mav's 3-peat & Don't Get Tricked by Fake News
48 perc 54. rész BrotoGP

President Kev keeps us informed about Rossi's true performance and bashes on all the other fake news floating around about him in 12th. We cover a brewing Marquez-Vinales rivalry a bit, then jump right into all the aero-developments we saw at the test. Duc has to come up, including Jorge's so far lack-luster performance and interviews lying to us about Duc's new fairings. We finish this one off with a preview of WSBK's opener at Phillip Island this coming weekend, including the hopes for Melandri on the Duc and the ailing Hondas.
Episode 52 - Make MotoAmerica Great Again, SBK/STK Champ Josh Herrin

While we are in between GP testing, BrotoGP is excited to bring you another real and honest racer interview. 2013 AMA Superbike and 2016 MotoAmerica Superstock1000 Champ Josh Herrin joins us in this one to spill about racing in America and his time in the Moto2 class. We start this one off talking about his struggles and successes during the 2016 season and his big plans for the Superbike class in 2017. Then we jump into the 2014 Moto2 season and why things didn't exactly go as planned. Josh covers it all... his riding, the talent, Zarco, Caterham Suter, the struggles with travel, his release from the team, and more. We then transition back to America, discussing the impact that international riders like Toni Elias are making. Things finish off with some personal stories from Josh about trackdays and a little shit-talking.
Episode 51 - Shots Fired, Maverick Lights Up Sepang

The long winter is finally subsiding. MotoGP was back at Sepang these past few days, so we finally have motorcycles on a track to talk about. Maverick finished on top AGAIN and everyone is finally coming around to the idea that the championship is him vs Marquez. HRC acts like they are struggling even though their issues seem to be again masked by Marc's talent. Jorge's love for the Duc isn't strong yet, but he's Jorge. Ev gets some mad conspiracies in here, making you really wonder what's going on with winglets. Yes, we are still talking about winglets, so Kev goes wild on that. We talk about how the rookies are doing and finish with what's wrong with Dani. Trump references and new hastags for days in this one.
Episode 50 - Listener Question Takeover

BrotoGP is back! Testing in 2017 hasn't started just yet. So this time, we reached out to all of our listeners asking for questions that you want us to talk about. We got plenty of responses ranging from Michelin to Moto2 to Rossi vs Mav. Of course there were plenty of non-moto questions too and we had to throw those in there... looking at you Paul Saylor. We didn't get to all of the questions, but we'll try to keep up on them as we all survive the offseason.
Episode 49 - Looking For Answers
65 perc 50. rész BrotoGP
Dennis took the reins on this episode with a set of questions for the BrotoGP regulars, a sort of throwback episode to the original BrotoGP format. We know all you want to hear is Kev but everyone gets their shit-talking in on this one. We cover 125/250 vs Moto3/Moto2, #wingletsandchill, and Gigi and the new Ducati. Then things get real crazy with some mad pipedreams for GP, Kawi and BMW in GP (???), and Kev throws in a rant about WSBK to save Rob. We had a lot of fun with this one. Enjoy.
Episode 48 - Maverick Tests The Limits
57 perc 49. rész BrotoGP
Winter is here, but BrotoGP presented by RiderzLaw isn't going anywhere. Two MotoGP tests went down since we last recorded, the public Valencia test and a private Jerez test. With more than a few riders switching teams and a bunch moving up from Moto2, there was plenty to talk about. We start this one off with Maverick and Kev's favorite livery of the test. Then we hit up Jorge and the possibility that he's going to surprise us next year... or maybe we shouldn't be surprised. Rob get's to bag on KTM some more, Kev continues to hold onto winglets for as long as possible, and Dennis surprises everyone by showing up! We discuss GP vs WSBK at the Jerez test. Then we close out the episode with listener questions and some shenanigans about Dorna.
Episode 47 - Valen-See-Ya 2016

Valencia has come and gone, which means the 2016 MotoGP season is over. We didn't have a title to talk about, but racers still gonna race! Thankfully Iannone showed us why he's the Maniac and spiced up the GP race. We highlight Jorge's performance and all the shade he's been getting for a bad second half the season. Kev goes wild on Valencia itself and Rob pretty much says "told you so" with KTM. We talk about Moto2 and Moto3, though perhaps not how you'd expect. We didn't get to the Valencia Test (even though its over by now), but BrotoGP is sticking around this winter. Kev and Rob preview what's to come. Then things get really silly and Kev shows some appreciate for our fans.
Episode 46 - Czech it out, Karel Abraham on BrotoGP

Karel is also one of the few riders with experience on the newest entry into GP - KTM. We get Karel's predictions for that bike, some more info on Michelins, and even learn why the Ducati is one of the best rides to be on for a private team. Karel then get's comfortable and we hit on some of the other riders - Maverick, Vale, Jorge, and even Casey Stoner. Episode 45 - Grab Em By The Dovi

In case anyone forgot, this is 2016 - a year in GP to expect the unexpected. Just when you think that 9 winners isn't going to happen, Dovi pulls it out. Malaysia was insane with hot wet weather and new asphalt that never dried. All 3 races fit the bill perfectly. Kev's bromance takes another turn as he tells us how he's been feeling about Dovi this year. Then we touch on #MakeDucatiGreatAgain and the next step in their resurgence. Rossi and Marquez come up with a slight amount of disappointment and plenty of "wtf?". We hit up Zarco in Moto2 as he finally put in a race worthy of being a 2-time champion. Then things go a little nutty as we drop the ball on calling the Moto3 race. Hopefully all you listeners make it to the end on this one. Kev was hinting at a rant all episode and I (Rob) finally give in.
Episode 44 - Salty Air and Salty Cal
64 perc 45. rész BrotoGP
This one starts off a little different as Kev gets heated telling you about what went down with BrotoGP last week - you'll see. The whole racing weekend was a big cluster, with the weather playing havoc in all 3 classes. So we went through the order this time. Moto3's nasty crash, the Italian disappointment, and Binder's pwn-age start us off. Then we get to Moto2, the championship that no one actually wants to win. Thankfully Luthi and Franco are spicing it up. We jump into GP and start off with mistakes - a common theme this year, just a different timing this round. Cal capitalized and rode an amazing race, but still managed to be as salty as he could. Rossi had enough to make up for Q1 as did Maverick, so we speculate a bit on Yamaha 2017. Someone insults Tito Rabat, we show Mike Jones some love, and we round this one out with some thoughts on Sepang.
Episode 43 - Yamah Bin Some, Yamah Lose Some
63 perc 44. rész BrotoGP
The title hunt is over (ya spoilers) - just a little bit sooner than we had all hoped. Marquez once again showed everyone why he's so far ahead, pressuring his rivals into mistakes that have become all to frequent. Whenever someone crashes, there are fingers to point. Was Yamaha's development lacking? Does the Michelin front tire provide too little feedback? Is Rossi over the hill or was he just too sick? We went organic on this episode and covered it all. Somewhere in there Kev rants about some recent BrotoGP controversy with Dorna. We hit up development and performance expectations for all the other factories too. Then we touch on the only other open championship - who would have guess that Rins and Lowes would try to hand Zarco the title. Phillip Island is next and with Pedrosa out, Iannone back (hopefully), and Nicky in, something is bound to happen.
Episode 42 - The Spaniards Retake Spain
56 perc 43. rész BrotoGP
Aragon was a race of two halves, one with a few surprises and a ton of excitement and the other with only one "good" pass attempt. Its hard to compare all that to the 8 winners in the previous 8 races. We at least recap the first half with Marquez almost blowing it and Maverick kinda almost pulling it off. The championship did go the wrong way by 9pts - is it finally over? After all that, we dig into the main cause for all the variability this year - Michelin. Too many front tires once again favored some riders and destroyed others. Then we show some much deserved love for Aprilia, get in a few Silly Season bits, and even talk about Dirty Petrucci and how Pramac's plan has backfired. We end this episode with congrats for the new Moto3 champ.
Episode 41 - Big Heat Little Winner at Misano
44 perc 42. rész BrotoGP
Someone said that Misano would be hot enough for Dani to do well, but we didn't expect him to win. He surprised us for about 5 minutes, then we all realized that he shows this late-form every year. The Rossi / Marquez points battle tightened a little bit more, but nothing like the Moto2 championship. Who would have guessed that Rins would close the gap with a busted collarbone. We cover all the GP injuries, Kev get's to show love for his boy Pirro as Duc skirts the rules, and we question whether or not Dovi can be our record-setting 9th winner of the year. We end this one with Pedrosa title implications now that he can finish between Rossi and Marquez.
Episode 40 - Maverick Buzzes Silverstone
55 perc 41. rész BrotoGP
2016 is still the year of surprises. This round did not disappoint. Dry track time was limited, but Maverick Vinales dropped the hammer on his competition and finally dominated an entire weekend. With that kind of performance on the Suzuki, Kev just had to take it out on Mav's teammate, Aleix Espargaro. That rant got dirty and he eventually dragged Pol into it as well. While Mav pulled away during the race, the battle for 2nd was red hot. Win-or-bin Marquez returned, the GOAT finished ahead of him, and #calbandwagon is on for another week. We talk a bit about the the insanity of Moto2 and someone makes the mistake of bringing up arm pump. We wrap with predictions for Misano. Will win-or-bin MM hang around and make a mistake?

After that we talk about their coming transition into GP and someone shows up to briefly talk about his disappointment with Lowes/Aprilia. Keeping with Silly Season, we talk a little bit about some recent WSBK news... mostly just to transition well back to Ducati in GP and Spielberg. The track and the timing couldn't be more right... can they do it?
Episode 35 - Lord of the 'Ring & Time for a 'Break'

The last round before MotoGP's long summer break just had to be a good one. Jorge's crashes and his trip through Qualifying 1 made for an exciting Saturday. Then it rained! The GP race was littered with saves, luck, and tactical errors... so much that Kev is at a crossroads in his relationship with Rossi. Marquez's trip through the gravel was easily overcome by his team's great choices, something that can't be said of the other factories. His domination of the series keeps growing like his points leads, but we are only halfway. We finish this one off with our boy Pawi and the potential for the first Moto2 championship repeat winner.
Episode 34 - BroSBK Shenanigans at Laguna Seca
58 perc 35. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP got the hook-up from Karel Abraham and actually went to a WorldSBK race. MotoAmerica was there too, but Rob unfortunately joined the broken-clavicle moto club. So #robbashingtime is now a thing. But hey, there were two good WorldSBK races to watch and talk about: Kawi domination, Duc choking, and our favorite takeaways from the weekend. Kevin rants a bit about the state of the WorldSBK grid while tying it all into Moto2. Then we end this one with MotoGP Sachsenring predictions and more shenanigans.
Episode 33 - Jackin' Dat Assen
74 perc 34. rész BrotoGP
1000 to 1 odds were enough to leave us speechless, just like Kev topping his Rossi poem from last episode. But hey, this is BrotoGP. Too much standing water, a red flag, and a whole new race were enough to make us want to throw something at the TV. Then Jack showed up, so we had a lot to talk about there. Mature Marc gets some coverage along with all the championship implications. Then we get onto the last of the Silly Season and even hit up the performances in the lower classes. Kev rants about `Winglexit` and we round this episode off with our plans for the next few weeks. Enjoy and tell your friends!
Episode 32 - The Italian King of Spain, on Their Party He Doth Reign
63 perc 33. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP and the entire motorcycle world had a rough weekend at Catalunya, so we start this episode with our thoughts and tributes to Luis Salom. After that we announce some big news, our first sponsor and supporter, RiderzLaw. We jump right into talking about the GOAT and we think you'll be surprised at how well Kev can bro down. Kev goes HAM like Iannone did up Jorge's rear end. The heat and slippery track in Spain definitely made this episode a good one. Enjoy.
Episode 31 - Mugello, Where There's Smoke...
79 perc 32. rész BrotoGP
Kevin called it last episode that fans might burn the place to the ground if something did or did not happen to Rossi. Well they tried, but Kevin is still on suicide watch (kidding). This episode we cover the madness of the Mugello MotoGP round where everything went nuts from FP1 and didn't stop. We start with GP and all its disappointment and glory. Then we hit up the draft race in Moto3 and the debacle of Moto2. We cover a great Silly Season question from listener Dan and finally give credit to Nicky for Sepang. By the way, some GoT spoilers.
Episode 30 - Crashes in France and Suggestions From Jorge's PR Guy
83 perc 31. rész BrotoGP
Borenzo took over in LeMans, destroying everyone in QP and riding so amazingly smooth like he can. So Kevin is signing himself as Jorge's new PR guy and had more than a few suggestions. We started this one with race recaps including plenty about all the crashes in GP. Then PR Kevin jumps right in. Eventually we talk about the disappointment of Moto2 and why Moto3 is doing better in so many ways. We even manage to slot in some of HRC woes and a couple of listener questions as well. Are you ready for Mugello!
Episode 29 - GP Heat at Jerez and Listener Questions
61 perc 30. rész BrotoGP
The fly-away races are finished and MotoGP is back in Europe so Dennis takes over hosting duties en Español! Jerez alway seems to start something a little crazy for the season and this year was no different. The track was hot and slippery come race day and Rossi took advantage. Was his win all talent, the tires, someone else's fault? After that we cover an amazing Moto3 race, with Binder completely destroying the entire field... literally. We then discuss a few great listener questions and even break out some silly ones.
Episode 28 - BroSBK at Assen and Jorge in Red
65 perc 29. rész BrotoGP
Surprise episode! I doubt anyone expected us to record after a weekend without a GP race. But so much has happened and some of our fans really want us to cover WSBK, so here we are. The four of us spend about 25 minutes on WSBK and even some WSS: Sykes errors, weather mistakes, American on the box, you name it. Kev gets a little antsy during all that so we move onto the latest hot topic: Jorge moving to Ducati and silly season musical chairs. We finish up this episode with some more discussion about Jerez and our normal prediction nonsense. Enjoy!
Episode 27 - Alien-in-Training Maverick plus Marc and Michelin
76 perc 28. rész BrotoGP
COTA turned out to be a bit processional in all 3 classes. But BrotoGP still has plenty to talk about. This week we let our listener questions guide almost the entire episode. After a quick recap of all 3 races, we spend some time on alien-in-training Maverick Vinales. Then we move onto the main question for everyone - are all these crashes really Michelin's fault? Everett decides to show up and derail the entire party, but we keep everything on track well enough. We finish up this episode with some wild predictions for racing back in Europe.
Episode 26 - Madness in Argentina and Listener Questions
74 perc 27. rész BrotoGP
Did you watch the Argentina round of MotoGP yet? Could a single weekend have any more drama packed into it? Dennis did some moderating this time so we start off talking about his two standout race incidents, Maverick going down and Iannone committing the ultimate racing sin. Then we move on to the Michelin debacle and how it directly and indirectly affected the race. We even touch on Jorge's style, silly season, and do a little Cal bashing. Then we introduce the best part of this episode, our new segment: listener questions. Follow us on Instagram to get yours in before each episode.
Episode 25 - BrotoGP Kicks Off With Qatar
91 perc 26. rész BrotoGP
The MotoGP season is finally here! Race 1 at Qatar is in the books. While the race might have been a Borenzo affair, this episode isn't. Maverick Vinales takes up a healthy chunk of this long episode. Of course we have to talk about Duc cheater motors and winglets. There's even some talk of Rossi Ranch Moto3 collusion and the Moto2 debacle in here. We were on a roll so this one went long. Enjoy.
Episode 24 - WorldSBK Races and GP Test at PI
67 perc 25. rész BrotoGP
BroSBK is here. Racing has started and we finally talk about WorldSBK. Rea reminded us why he's a champion and half of us get a little exciting about American's on the world stage. Of course this is BrotoGP, so we cover the GP test at Phillip Island: the injuries, who ran well, and some surprises. We never get all the topics in one episode so catch us soon after the Qatar GP test before their season starts.
Episode 23 - Sepang Winter Test and More Stoner
54 perc 24. rész BrotoGP
BrotoGP is finally back! The winter testing ban is over and we've got 3+ days of testing to cover. The Michelin tires would have been the highlight of the test had Casey Stoner not decide to actually test with the field. He keeps giving everyone hope that he's going to race (not gonna happen). We also cover the spec electronics, the Duc swarm, Jorge Lorenzo's form, and a bunch of other chatter.
Episode 22 - Stoner & Duc Love and a Fast Jerez
57 perc 23. rész BrotoGP
The winter testing ban is upon us, but we still need to cover the last bit of riding this year. Casey Stoner made it back to Ducati and Kev gives them a surprising amount of love. Both the GP and WSBK paddocks tested at Jerez... can we compare? All of the Ducs are doing quite well with the new electronics package and new Michelin tires and we even chat about Scott Redding. And of course, we had to talk about Rossi and Marquez a little bit.
Episode 21 - 2016 Winter Testing
74 perc 22. rész BrotoGP
A new motorcycle racing season is already here... well winter testing is underway. Turns out we had a lot to talk about with GP switching to new electronics and Michelin tires. That of course led to tangent after tangent of shit talking and even a pretty big segue over to Nicky Hayden in WorldSBK. We even covered Moto2 a bit with some predictions for next year. Stay with us this off-season.
Episode 20 - The End of 2015
69 perc 21. rész BrotoGP
The season finale at Valencia finished off what turned out to be one of the best championships of all time. We hit on the decision in the courts made before the weekend, which all but guaranteed we'd have an amazing race to talk about. Then more drama on track added fuel to the fire and got Kevin really heated (loud) in this episode. Finally we touch on any potential heirs to the throne. The 2015 season has come to an end, but we are all now looking forward to 2016. Stay tuned.
Episode 19
114 perc 20. rész BrotoGP
Whoa, this episode is intense. We haven't talked to you in 3 races, so there was a lot to cover. We go over some highlights of Motegi, then jump right into the drama. Phillip Island was a barnstormer of a race with some hidden stories so we spend a lot of time on that. Then the press conference happened and sh*t hit the fan. Rossi's moves, his fate, Dorna's penalty system, and our Valencia predictions take us to 2 hours. Enjoy.
Episode 18
72 perc 19. rész BrotoGP
The Aragon race of MotoGP just happened, and while it didnt rain, we were still treated to an amazing race. Borenzo tried to ruin it for us, but MM (Marc Marquez), Pedrosa, and Rossi came through. We talk about more of the same from MM and the continual struggles and development of the RCV. Then we hit up on how the top guys in GP fight and pressure other riders and how some try to do it off-track. And finally we ramp up talks of next year's Michelin tires, Suzuki's lack of grunt, and hopefully where GP is going.
Episode 17
73 perc 18. rész BrotoGP
After thinking the Silverstone GP race was nuts, we were ecstatic to watch and talk about the Misano race. Who knew that riders could run an entire flag-to-flag race on slicks or crash and still finish on the box. Of course, Everett tries to temper Kev's Uccio-status, but we all know that'll never work. The championship is just getting more and more interesting each round.

BrotoGP is back! Our summer break was way too long, but we've finally managed to record another episode. With 3 races to discuss, there was a lot to talk about and with Rossi winning at Silverstone, things got a little crazy. I can't even begin to make a timeline for this episode.
Episode 15

Its the GP summer break, but we still managed to find a lot to talk about. First Rob gives us an inside scoop on his weekend racing with MotoAmerica at Laguna. Then we segue into WSBK and the Davies double. We finally get into everything else about GP that we haven't had time to cover in previous episodes. Silly season is starting up so there's plenty of that. This is actually our longest episode yet, who knew that was going to happen with minimal racing going on.

Into the 2015 MotoGP summer break we go, as we look back into Round 9 of the championship at Sachsenring, Germany. Marquez broke the current run of form of both Yamaha factory riders, but the battle for the title continues between Lorenzo and Rossi.

This weekend is also Round 9 of World Superbikes right in our very own backyard at Mazda Raceway in Laguna Seca. Our boy Robert will be racing in MotoAmerica's Superstock 600 series, so he spends a bit of time talking about what he looks for in his umbrella boy this weekend. All inquires accepted, please attach headshots.

It's The Kevin Show this time out because for the esoteric few in the know, Kevin got himself temporarily banished from the home of Couch Racer's Corner itself. So we just knew how backed up Kevin was, and there was no point in getting in his way as he spits fire and brimstone from the Holy Gospel of Red. Basically, Kevin's just about gone bat-shit crazy on this one. Forget "divine intervention." This is "Kevin Intervention," and we don't even need an episode index for this one.

This episode goes a little haywire as Kevin gets us to start off talking about the RC213V-S. After some intro madness, we dig into the consistent decline of Marc Marquez and HRC. Eventually we get to WSBK and things get interesting talking about anything but Rea.

This week we get another guest on board, Everett from BARF. He does a good job filling in for Dennis and provides a lot of insider info into team structures, factory contracts, and other rider info in MotoGP.
