25 - The untold story of the Menendez family & murder case
26 perc 27. rész What The Hal?
There’s a book about a case I did some reporting on way back in 1989\. The author, Robert Rand, has spent decades looking into this case, and he’s even talked to Lyle and Erik, and he has a lot to say about the Menendez murders. The Menendez saga has captivated the American public since 1989\. The killing of José and Kitty Menendez on a quiet Sunday evening in Beverly Hills didn’t make the cover of People magazine until the arrest of their sons seven months later, and the case developed an intense cult following. When the first Menendez trial began in July 1993, the public was convinced that Lyle and Erik were a pair of greedy rich kids who had killed loving, devoted parents. But the real story remained buried beneath years of dark secrets, until now. “The Menendez Murders: The Shocking Untold Story of the Menendez Family and the Killings that Stunned the Nation”. is available everywhere, and you can find it on Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/Menendez-Murders-Shocking-Killings-Stunned/dp/1946885266 Hit the subscribe button on this podcast, and connect with Hal on social: Facebook.com/HalEisner Instagram.com/HalEisner Twitter.com/HalEisner You can watch FOX 11 News In Depth Sundays at noon PT on KCOP Channel 13. It is a grim anniversary to say the least. One of the things that agencies in California and Nevada have been trying to do is reach out to people at that concert on the night of the massacre, since there are benefits available to you if you were there. You may feel like you don’t need those benefits now, but maybe down the road – maybe you’ll have some mental health issues you’ll need help for – that’s why the agencies are trying to get your attention to get you to apply.
