DISCover U
Welcome to DISCover U podcast hosted by Coach Ash and Coach Ant, extreme execution coaches. We are two students of personal development breaking down their wins and lessons to empower others. We’re all about adding value to the community by inspiring listeners to change their mindset.
Hey REAL TALK you can be your own worst enemy, too many emotions, thoughts. Had I limited my emotions and feelings I would have executed on a PHENOMENAL level. “My enemy is my inner me”
On todays show, extreme execution Coach Ash and Coach Ant dived right in on personal accountability. We had to mention how we tend to critique other people on much higher standards than we critique our own self. We did a deep dive on folks that tend to hold other people to higher expectations of ourselves, but if that was YOU you would let yourself slide.

When we talk about visionary thinking, we have to remember one of the greatest quotes of all time. “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision. – Helen Keller.” Visionary thinking is seeing into time, and having a destination in the mind even when you don’t see one with your physical eyes.
On todays show, longtime extreme execution Coach Ant and Coach Ash talked about visionary thinking, when you can see a vision or a dream in the near future, even though you don’t see it with the physical eyes. We highlighted the S and C behaviors as vision relates to them and we also gave some love to the D and I behaviors as well, make sure you tune in today!

Don't overlook self esteem, it's how you think about yourself and it's critical to personal development. Its key when you are intentional about how you feel about yourself, some of us have high self esteem so we can affirm ourselves even when we don't get it from other people. We explored why its important to balance your self esteem by looking at the DISC characters.
On todays episode longtime extreme execution coaches, Coach Ant and Coach Ash discussed self esteem and self affirmation. We really emphasized "going where you're celebrated not just tolerated". We highlighted the self affirmation of each of the DISC characters, we really emphasized having a balance in yourself esteem. We love affirmation from other people but that should also come from the self. For example we discussed an individual who can make himself laugh, we encouraged listeners to strike a balance in self esteem from themselves and from other people. We always leave you with a practical action item, in todays show Coach Ash mentioned how she says her mantra to get that self esteem back. Shoutout to thrive2007 for dropping a review!

There are resources all around us in our environment, and some of us are a resource to other people. That’s when we have to consider positive and negative resources because some people add value and it’s a mutual relationship whereas others they just take, take, take, at the expense of your energy.
On this episode, certified extreme execution coaches, Coach Ash and Coach Ant talked about tapping into resources. Coach Ash started the show by speaking on her closed real estate investment property as she is delegating work, she’s leading an incredible effort to help her family purchase investment properties. We also checked in with Coach Ant as he talked heavily about his High I behavior, he is super conscious about people that drain his energy! He is quick to notice and mute people, he also can anticipate who will drain and who will add value, and he can tell when he’s in a funk. We really want to experience “self mastery” so its so critical we notice the situations that add or take value from our own resources. In closing, please drop us a review on Apple Podcasts so we can reach our Q1 goal!

The real estate industry is an excellent vehicle to sustaining generational wealth with methods like the buy and hold, as well as make some capital gains with the fix and flip route. This week we had a lot of wins in the real estate arena.
Welcome to this week's episode of DISCover U, hosted by Coach Ash and Coach Ant, we are two students of personal development breaking. In this week’s show we really had a great time as we heard Coach Ash reflect on her real estate investment experience with her two teams. She got the clear to close notification and we are so happy that she was able go through this totally new experience. We analyzed the situation in terms of the DISC profile so we got to see how each behavioral style fit it to the real estate process. Coach Ash being a pilot and flight attendant shared a lot about how she delegated leadership because she got the experience with team 2 and was able to be a pilot for the team and lead them to the W. We also felt that we needed to recap the conversation about exposure. Please, stop by and check us out today!

Personal development is super critical if you want to go to that next level in your life, and being aware of your natural and adaptive behaviors is totally game changing. Especially being aware of your adaptive behaviors as you usually express adaptive traits when you have to do something that you didn't necessarily plan for or it wasn’t on your schedule. That’s why in this episode we talked heavily about audibles.
On the show today, long time extreme execution coaches, Coach Ash and Coach Ant reviewed the adaptive behaviors conversation from last week and added a few nuggets about audibles. Audibles is a last minute play call usually in football where, although the play was confirmed in the huddle, the play is changed at the line of scrimmage. In other words, the game of life throws things that you didn't plan for and the question is will you execute? There's a new play, can you execute it? Coach Ash mentioned how she had to adapt to leading a few accountability calls and she led them very well and on short notice, we also gave a shout out to Jamie for being a phenomenal grounds crew. Jamie's generosity has really impacted Coach Ant. We ended the show by welcoming all the flight attendants to link up with the crew! Definitely check us out on this episode and if we blessed you remember to share with a friend.

Adapting to a new play and executing it with ease is a super dope skill that some of us really need to work on, it’s like playing an audible.
This week on the show we got to see how Coach Ash played the audible. In other words, Coach Ash had to adapt to a new situation as she led this week’s accountability call on short notice. We know her natural behavior is the High D, High I but this time she had to adapt to the C behavior in order to lead the call. That’s when we talked heavy about adaptive behaviors that we experience day in and day out, although some people develop defense mechanisms when put in unknown situations, Coach Ash really played this audible well. The team also talked about decision fatigue, that’s when we have to put all of our energy (or at least most of it) into our dreams and goals and surely reduce some energy put into less important things like clothes and appearance. Of course we left our listeners with practical action steps, tune in today!

Personal development is so critical as it allows us to check our progress towards our personal goals. Self assessment through the DISC Index is among the best things that you can do to know your adaptive and natural behavioral styles. Join us today as we hear the flight attendant finesse,
Today on the show we had Ant share his experience being a High I, he has had to do some personal development to get into his structures and systems. We also had to go back and review the momentum conversation, as Coach Ash and Coach Ant talked about how you can have those small victories, those minor things that you do are wins and should be celebrated as such, that’s when Coach Ash mentioned her win jar.

It’s pretty common to lose that excitement you had when the new year started. After a few weeks of the new year that goal you set becomes tiring, boring, and it just doesn’t get completed. The harsh reality is that we fail to execute our new years goals because we do not plan some practical action steps to accomplish them, “big is just a bunch of smalls”. It’s those habits and consistencies that when you reverse engineer, what was an intimidating feat becomes something you feel you can do. Setting goals and having a system to go about them is super critical to talk about.
In today’s show, Coach Ash and Coach Ant, extreme execution coaches talked about the Air Traffic Controller’s preference for systems and structures. Coach Ant shared some dope experiences with us as he mentioned how his natural preference as a high I was to be really emotional about his goals. Too many of us are super excited during the new year and we set these awesome goals but unfortunately they never happen because we did not set practical action steps, and those big emotional goals we set at the start of the year eventually feel overwhelming. Coach Ant talked about the system's behavioral style and how he had to get uncomfortable, and write out his goals on a detailed spreadsheet. This was a challenge for him because he is a high I! So in this episode we talked about systems as it concerns our quarterly goals. Tune in with us today!

The new year with your new experiences is right around the corner, so we wanted to let you know that if you keep doing the same thing again and again and you're not seeing results, then the root cause is your habits and consistencies. Straight up!!!
Welcome to our weekly episode of DISCover U Podcast, hosted by Coach Ash and Coach Ant. Also welcome to season 2!!! On today's show, we introduced the concept of positive habits and consistencies as well as being aware of negative habits that are not aligned with your personal goals. Coach Ant began by defining the words so that we can know exactly what we are talking about, then Coach Ash chimed in as she mentioned people's goals vs the prerequisite tasks needed to accomplish the goal. We really wanted you to reverse engineer your goals, with an emphasis of setting yourself up to succeed by performing the minimal goal in order to build up to that ultimate goal. Coach Ant also explained a law of physics to describe that objects require more energy to start motion than to sustain motion, alluding to the fact that you should start a habit you get that initial momentum going. On today's show we also talked about awareness, a major key on this episode was being aware and self assessing what is not working vs the adjustments that you need to make. To close the show Coach Ash and Coach Ant, provided advice on how to accomplish your goals by using habits and consistencies.

Majority of Americans just need an accountability partner to operate more effectively because unfortunately we don’t do what we said we were going to do. We are super busy. We have minor goals and major goals that we work really hard to accomplish but you can accomplish those goals much earlier with the assistance of an accountability partner. Accountability partners hold you to your word, and more so hold you to do the task that you said you were going to do. By the way, there is so much power in a community of accountability partners.
Today on the show we welcomed Coach Ash as she has returned from her birthday vacation in Mexico and then we hit the ground running on the subject of accountability partners. There are some accountability partners that hold you to your word vs some partners who may let you go back on your word from time to time. We really dived in on the relationship that anyone can have with their accountability partner as we discussed behavioral styles so that you can match yourself with the right partner. Coach Ash and Coach Ant are both high I’s on the assessment, in other words they are flight attendants so they needed to match themselves with a partner who can compliment or counter their limitations. Coach Ant also described his 3 years experience dialing in to the BU accountability calls, he mentioned how people would call you out if you went ghost on the call!!! The effect is that when you are the appropriate community of accountability partners they will call you out when you are delaying or when you just need a shot of energy! We ended the show with some practical action steps to matching yourself to the right accountability partner.

Most people overlook the small victories of their life, there are so many fine details that you should be thankful for. When you start off your day, and brush your teeth, eat breakfast, and hop on an accountability call, check in with the family, all before your day really gets busy. Those things are all momentum and those are the small victories that we can definitely celebrate. Most of us wake up late because we hit the snooze, so we are going through the rest of the day reacting to our poor start, that's a disaster because we are then operating from our adaptive behavior.
On today's show, Coach Ash and Coach Ant talked about the momentum that you feel when you achieve even the small wins. Small wins are waking up on time, getting yourself cleaned up, it's the small things that you can do before your day gets crazy busy. All throughout that time we are building the momentum because we started the day right, we also mentioned strategies to get back on schedule when you get derailed or start multitasking. Then Coach Ant talked about his experience of being a high I, he mentioned how he has learned a bit from the systematic behavior of a high C and how that awareness caused him to streamline his schedule. To end the show, Coach Ant and Coach Ash discussed momentum as it concerns Mario, you can get a boost before the race of life starts if you prepare ahead of time!!

More people than I'd like to admit are confused between vision and sight, reflect on it and you'll notice vision and sight aren't the same. The late great Helen Keller has one of the greatest quotes of all time, "The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision." Helen Keller (1880 - 1968). Here Helen made a clear distinction between sight and vision, so in today's show we defined vision and then elaborated on why it's so critical for your life that you create a vision for yourself.
On today's show, Coach Ash and Coach Ant chopped it up about you having your own vision for yourself, as opposed to living out the plan that society's norms sell you from childhood. Support member Peter Gachuki also shared a dope quote about vision that set the tone for the episode. Coach Ant dived right in and shared with us his experience as he was working in healthcare, and being a flight attendant it wasn't in his natural gifting so he mentioned how he grew into the position. The effect of this was that the education system is actually really misleading as a lot of folks blindly accept the rat race and the "american dream". We discussed the blue collar mentality and the false idea of retirement; folks postpone their desired lifestyle, but we know retirement is NEVER promised. We also shared our super dope mission statements because that keeps us on track on of our vision. And finally to wrap up the show we gave you steps to start the process of having a vision for yourself, by speaking on how to let go of doubts and fears you have so you can just reverse engineer your vision. A vision can be reverse engineered into practical action items, but first you have to get rid of fear and other peoples limitations. You don't need an approval / affirmation for your vision!!
