Ministry IRL
Dive in with us as we explore what life in ministry is truly like. We don't often get to hear from those in ministry and what they are really going through. Listen in and hear what God is teaching them as they live life in ministry. Let's share together what we know and what we are learning from God so that we might encourage each other. Join us every Friday as we talk about ministry in real life. Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/ministry-irl/support
I have been blessed to have met a lot of people in my life, and Peyton Harris is one of the people that I have never forgotten. As a missionary and a temporary Bible teacher in my small high school in Kazakhstan, he had a great impact on my life. Peyton Harris has ministered in many different places around the world and continues to reach international people while now living in the US. I love his heart for people, and he has a lot of great stories about how God has revealed his plan for him and his family throughout the years. Join us in this episode as we get to see how prayer is such a big part of Peyton following the journey that God designed for him.

Grace Khoma and I both grew up in Kazakhstan and she knew my sister really well. Recently Grace has been posting some great thoughts and feelings about worship on social media and it really caught my attention, I reached out to her and her husband Viktor Khoma to come on the show and talk about their view of worship ministry. I love how much international culture has affected their views and opinions. We talk about life, ministry, worship, and family on this episode of Ministry IRL.

Today though she is not on the main stage of the church, she is in the lives of people around her in her job. Tina loves people, and she taught me a lot about how to love people well and love people as Jesus loves them. In this episode, she shares with us her journey and how God has used what she has learned from ministry to minister to those in her job. Just because you are in a more corporate job does not mean that Jesus is not using you in the lives of those around you, and Tina exemplifies this so well. She really is tweiss_as_nice!

In fact, it's quite the opposite. My brother, Daniel Weed, and I have had a lot of experience living across the street from a lot of different people, in a lot of different cultures. We have been blessed by them, and love getting to know people. In this episode, we talk together about our different experiences and how being in ministry, and missionary kids have affected our perspective on our neighbors.

We have done ministry in the past together, and man that was a long time ago. Pastor Matt has grown from the early days of his ministry where he really experienced the power of the holy spirit. He has always had a passion for evangelism and has had experience as a senior pastor. He did learn though that being a senior pastor isn't what God was calling him to do. Join us as we hear more of pastor Matt's story. I hope you are encouraged by this wonderful man of God. Check him out on Youtube, and Facebook. If you want a speaker with the power of the Holy Spirit, by all means, please invite him to your church.

This week on Ministry IRL we talk about language and how important it is how we communicate with each other. When it comes to ministry there are a lot of outdated words that we use, but still hold a lot of important meaning to what we believe. Talking to other generations, or even other cultures can be really difficult. Let's talk about how not only are words important, but we need to communicate well in order to represent Jesus well.
