Cuba Archive: Telling the Stories of the Oppressed
We tell the stories of those silenced and oppressed by the communist Cuban regime. Listen to hear their first-hand accounts and the secrets the Cuban government doesn't want you to know. To discover more about the regime and its victims, please visit our website at cubaarchive.org .
In this third episode, I had the chance to speak with Lourdes Díaz, the mother of a young man who was brutally murdered by Cuban border guards while attempting to flee the island. Despite an attempted coverup on behalf of the Cuban regime, years of hardship, and threats on her family´s lives, Lourdes Díaz has persevered to be able to share her story.

In this first episode of Cuba Archive: Telling the Stories of the Oppressed, Sebastián Arcos Cazabón reveals the tragic story of his father, Sebastián Arcos Bergnes: a story of betrayal and oppression, but also of hope and resistance against the evils of a nefarious regime. From a former Cuban revolutionary to a persecuted political prisoner and human rights activist, Sebastián Arcos Bergnes' story illuminates the horrors perpetrated by the Cuban government, as well as his struggle to expose them.
