27 perc 100. rész

“God is trustworthy. When He makes a promise, He will keep it.” Today we begin our Moms of the Bible Series- Hope for Every Need.  You are not going to miss a moment of this powerful, encouraging episode as Stacy talks with Fern Nichols, the founder of Moms in Prayer International.  Listen in as she shares what happens when we pray to the One who faithfully keeps all His promises, even the impossible ones.

About our Guest:

Fern Nichols is a former elementary school teacher and the founder of Moms in Prayer International, a prayer movement that mobilizes women around the world to gather together to pray for their children and schools. In 1984, Fern was fearful about sending her two eldest children off to junior high. She knew the school would be a battlefield for their hearts and minds. She realized the warfare would be intense and to fight in this battle she needed to invite other moms to pray. She called a mom and asked her to pray with her for their children and school. Her response was an immediate “yes,” and that was the humble beginning of Moms in Prayer that now spans the USA in every state and is in more than 150 countries.Fern has traveled to almost every continent in the world speaking, teaching and training women how to pray effectively. She and her husband Rle have been married 53 years. They were involved with Campus Crusade for Christ (now CRU) for 15 years. They have four children and 10 grandchildren.

Scripture:

Scriptures about Sarah (Sarai) found in Genesis 12, 16-18, 21

Hebrews 11:11-12 (NIV) And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she considered him faithful who had made the promise. And so from this one man, and he as good as dead, came descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as countless as the sand on the seashore.

Psalm 138:2 (NLT) I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I praise your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness; for your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.

Psalm 89:8 (NLT) O Jehovah, Commander of the heavenly armies, where is there any other Mighty One like you? Faithfulness is your very character.

Psalm 5:3 (NIV) In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.

Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.

Matthew 19:26 (NIV) Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."

Philippians 1:6 (NIV) being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Romans 4:19-21(NIV) Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead. Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Jeremiah 32:27 (NIV)“I am the LORD, the God of all mankind. Is anything too hard for me?

Episode 143 - Truth That Will Set You Free with Luanne Botta
36 perc 100. rész

“There is so much unrest with the lies coming our way, we need to know the truth.” Today Stacy talks with author and Bible teacher Luanne Botta about the armor of God.  You are not going to miss this power packed episode where Luanne passionately shares the truth about who we are and what we have in Christ. This will set you free!

About our Guest:

Luanne Botta is an author, Bible teacher and speaker who brings the gospel to life through the Word and personal testimony.  Her high energy and joyful spirit of encouragement bring an authentic transparency, making her an endearing and powerful speaker. As a high school teacher at a private Christian academy for almost 20 years, well-liked by her students, Luanne found herself in a unique role, guiding hundreds of young people through God’s Word with her uncompromising, take-no-prisoners way of speaking the truth while still showing them unconditional love. Her passion was igniting them to live their lives with a higher standard than the culture around them. From these years of ministry and the heartache experienced by her students in their teen years, Luanne authored two books to equip young people with the truth, Young Hearts. Pure Lives (for girls), and The Warrior Within (for guys). She served on the team for national singer, speaker and author, Kathy Troccoli, traveling the country as part of a ministry that has ushered thousands of women to the throne of God’s grace. The release of Luanne’s  newest book, Spiritual Warfare and the Armor of God, will be out May 2021!

Scripture:

Armor of God

Ephesians 6:10-17 (NASB)- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, having belted your waist with truth, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having strapped on your feet the preparation of the gospel of peace; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.  And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Gird your loins with the Gospel of Truth –

John 14:6 (NASB) Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”

Breast Plate of Righteous –

2Corinthians 5:21(NASB) He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Shod your feet with the Gospel of Peace –

John 14:27 (NASB) "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be fearful.

Take up the Shield of Faith –

Romans 4:20-21 (NASB)  yet, with respect to the promise of God, he did not waver in unbelief but grew strong in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.

The Helmet of Salvation

2Corinthians 10:3-6 (NASB)- For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh, for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but divinely powerful for the destruction of fortresses.  We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ,

The Sword of the Spirit which is the Living Word of God

1John 4:4 (NASB)- You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.

Isaiah 54:17 (NASB)- No weapon that is formed against you will succeed;
And you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment.
This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord,
And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord.

Hebrews 4:12a (NASB)-  For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword.

Episode 87 - Bringing Hope to Incarcerated Women
28 perc 91. rész Moms in Prayer, Int'l

Moms in Prayer is knitting incarcerated moms back to their children.  Today, Lee sits down with the Moms in Prayer Prison team to discuss the work that is happening with incarcerated mothers across America.  “We see God calling His prodigals home as they bow their heads and pray for their kids.”  You do not want to miss this episode.

About our Guests:

As the Moms in Prayer USA Prison Ministry Liaison, Nancy Turock works with 12 dedicated State Prison Liaisons and 140 volunteers in teams across 40 states to bring Moms in Prayer to incarcerated mothers. These mothers, who feel helpless and hopeless about doing anything for their children while in prison, discover through Moms in Prayer that they can actually do the very best thing for them – pray! For their children to belong to the Lord and live a Christian life, for safety, protection, caring teachers and success in school, Christian friendships, financial stability, and a chance to realize their dreams, are the timeless concerns and hopes of Christian mothers. In the process, we’ve also seen how Moms in Prayer changes the hearts of these incarcerated women, connects them with other Christian mothers in their facility, gives them a new attitude and cooperative spirit as they serve their time, and helps them return to their communities and lead changed lives.

There is always a need for more volunteers to pray with incarcerated moms. If you have a heart for these women and want to learn more about bringing prayer into the prisons, please contact Nancy Turock at Prison@MomsInPrayer.org

Episode 66 - REBEL Parenting with Ryan and Laura Dobson
57 perc 70. rész Moms in Prayer, Int'l

Struggle is a part of life, both in childhood and parenting. It’s where we turn in the struggle that will define us.  Today Lee sits down with Ryan and Laura Dobson to talk about growing up Dobson, life outside the box, prayer in marriage and family, and the strength that rises when you are brought to the end of yourself.

About our Guest:

Ryan Dobson is leading a rebellion not for the faint of heart. It’s a rebellion that fights for the hearts and souls of parents and families. Our culture has been tipped on its head over the past 20 years, and therefore the approach to helping families get healthy has to be profound. It was this mindset and understanding of culture that prompted Ryan and his wife, Laura, to found REBEL Parenting in 2016. Ryan has combined his natural abilities and passion for public speaking to significantly engage and challenge parents and families in every stage of life…but in a revolutionary way. NOTHING is "off the table." The old rules about "What you can & can't talk about" have been thrown out the window!! The state of marriage and parenting is in such a state that “leading a rebellion” may be the most effective way to bring healing and help. It is this atmosphere of total honestly, grace, truth and love that the messiness of this life can finds wholeness.

Ryan is no stranger to strengthening marriages and parents. He is a product of successful parenting, living a very public life as the son of America’s foremost family expert, author and radio broadcasting parenting specialist Dr. James Dobson. He launched his own radio broadcast with the purpose of “building passion and identity in Christ followers.” For two years running he had nearly 10 million listens. He then helped his dad found “Family Talk” and also served as the Vice President of the broadcast.

With that rich background, he left “Family Talk” to begin REBEL Parenting because “to impact a culture like ours, sometimes you have to start a REBELLION.” Why? Because marriage is hard, parenting is harder. The struggle is real. But, it’s always worth it. As Ryan has said, “The value of having a great marriage is beyond description. Being close with your kids beyond comparison.”

17 perc 68. rész Moms in Prayer, Int'l

How does author, actress and Bible teacher, Priscilla Shirer pray for her kids?  In today’s episode, Lee and Priscilla discuss how prayer has become an integral part of her spiritual life, parenting journey, and ministry.  They also discuss her role in the new Kendrick Brothers’ movie, Overcomer, and how we can join them in their mission to reach people with the gospel.

About our Guest:

Priscilla Shirer is a wife and a mom first.  But put a Bible in her hand and a message in her heart and you’ll see why thousands flock to her conferences and dive into her Bible study series’ and books each year.

A graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary, Priscilla holds a Master’s degree in Biblical Studies and considers it a privilege to serve believers from every denomination and culture by helping them to know the truths of Scripture intellectually and encouraging them to experience these truths practically by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Her books include Discerning the Voice of GodGod is Able, and two New York Times Bestsellers – The Resolution for Women and Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan for Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer, which was named the 2016 Christian Book of the Year. Her latest offering is a 365-day devotional called Awaken: 90 Days with the God Who Speaks. In 2016, Priscilla ventured into the world of children’s publishing with The Prince Warriors, a fiction 4-book series and accompanying 365-day devotional (Unseen) designed to equip tween boys and girls for victory in spiritual warfare.

Priscilla has been married to Jerry for 20 years.  Between studying and writing, she spends most of her time cleaning up after (and trying to satisfy the appetites of) their three growing boys – Jackson, Jerry Jr. and Jude.
