Hello and welcome to Episode 3, in our series “Empowered.” This series is about being empowered by the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit as we continue the work that Christ started in the earth. Today’s podcast is entitled, “Be Not Afraid.”  We encourage you to listen to the first two podcasts in this series because that is where we lay a good foundation for this series. 

 We are going to talk about how the Holy Spirit was sent from heaven to empower and embolden us against fear. We have seen so many things happening in the United States and in the world that could shake us up if we let it, but we are not going to be shaken up because we have confidence in God and His Word says we will not be shaken (Hebrews 12:27). Jesus said He would never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) because the Holy Ghost would be sent from heaven and would abide with us forever. (John 14:16). We cannot do the work of God if we are walking around scared all the time. So, we are going to discuss how the Holy Ghost not only empowers us but emboldens us to do the work we have been called to do.

It was Christmas morning and Rhonda couldn’t wait to see if she got the bridal doll she asked her mom for. She ran to the Christmas tree and looked for the gift with her name on it. There it was, she unwrapped the box and  . . .

Before we get to our Christmas memory share brought to us by Rhonda from Iowa, let’s hear a few scriptures.

Psalm 34:7 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Now, let’s go to the true story of Rhonda and the Bridal Doll submitted by Rhonda from Iowa.

“We were very poor growing up, but happy. During that year I was about ten years old and bridal dolls were very popular and I wanted one sooooo bad I could just cry. Somehow at that age, I knew that mom could not afford a doll just for me and there were six other children that wanted things too. Still, I wanted it. As a 10-year‑old child, I knew about praying as I lived around the corner from [two well-known churches in the community] and just knew they prayed as sometime I, and a few of us would go to church there. So, I prayed, as a 10‑year‑old child with innocence of heart, I too prayed to God. And Christmas morning I got the bridal doll. As I look back on this, I now see this was the start of my prayer life with God. Sometimes things are not as clear when we are little but, as we grow, He (God) shows us his plan for us. Thank you, Lord, for showing me as a child THAT PRAYER CHANGES THINGS AND I AM NOW A PRAYER WARRIOR!!! (emphasis added by Rhonda).

Thank you, Rhonda. That is a beautiful Christmas memory about, not one, but three Christmas gifts we are going to talk about.

Our first scripture is from Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” And because He is the Prince of Peace, Isaiah 54:17 tells us, “No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”

”Hello and welcome to Day 10, of CGMissions Christmas Podcast. We will learn from Cherilyn that we can rejoice in Christmas even when we may not be able to see and be with family.

Let’s start with a scripture. Today, our scripture comes from Hebrews 4:15. “For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.” I will explain later in today’s presentation why I chose this scripture.” For now, let’s go to Cherilyn’s Christmas email which reads:

 “My favorite Christmas song is "I'll be home for Christmas."  It makes me a little sad, but I still love it. In my twenty years on the mission field, I have been home maybe four times during the Christmas season.”

Charles George Missions Presents: Day 8 – Christmas Podcast – “Promise Fufilled”

Hello and welcome to Day 8, of CGMissions Christmas Podcast. Today’s podcast is entitled “Promises Fulfilled.” These podcasts which started on December 1 and will go through December 25, are brought to encourage you as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Today, we will see how God kept His promise to two people who waited patiently and trusted Him for their prayer to be answered. But first, we will start with what is known as our Memory Share in which a person shares a favorite Christmas memory or gift. Today, Vivian from St. Louis will share her favorite Christmas memory and gift. 

Today we learn that God always keeps His promises. One of the overriding themes of this Christmas podcast is that when Jesus came to this earth, He brought with Him all the promises of God; he brought everything we need to live life abundantly. John 10:10b. We may grow impatient and think He has forgotten us but, unlike man, God does not forget. We are going to look at two people who waited for many years to see God fulfill His promise to them and those two people are Anna and Simeon.

Our scriptures are found in Luke 2:25‑27 and 36‑38.

CGM Presents: The Christmas Podcast 2020

Hello and welcome to Day 1, of our Christmas podcast. The purpose of these short podcasts is to encourage you during this season. We are reminded at this time that Jesus loved us so much that he came to earth as a baby who became a man who not only died for our sins but came to give us new hope, every day. The devil is a bully who has used rejection since the beginning of time to intimidate, threaten, and hold people back from fulfilling their dreams or just enjoying the life that God wants them to live in abundance. More Than Conquerors” Episode 4: “A Woman to Die For” Subtitle: “Taking It All Back”

 Kidnapped! She was taken from her home along with other women and children at the hands of the enemy. Her husband and his men returned to find not only their families and all their possessions gone, but their home burned to the ground. Today, we find out whether or not David, the future king of Israel, would go after his wife, Abigail. Was she a woman to die for? And would he take it all back, all his possessions, from his enemy? We will answer these questions in today’s episode and share another contemporary testimonial from someone who kept the enemy from taking his possessions by overcoming a fearmonger. Hello Everyone and welcome to Episode 3, of our series, “More Than Conquerors.” This series is about overcoming and conquering fear. Today we will have a brief review of past episodes, then we will start Episode 3, “Wise Woman Conquers Warriors” Subtitle: “Fools, Fear, and Food” based on 1 Samuel 25. I will also be sharing a personal experience I had with overcoming and conquering fear. We encourage you to listen to Episodes 1 and 2 of this series. In Episode 1, we interviewed Apostle Charles G. Wright and learned how he overcame and conquered his fears in war and received the Bronze Star with the “V” Device (for heroism) and the Purple Heart (for injuries he sustained in war). In Episode 2, we listed five points on how to overcome and conquer fear learned from Episode 1. We also studied the roots of fear and how it was the first emotion Adam and Eve experienced after they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We believe that is the reason fear is a favorite tool of the devil to try to intimidate us and why the topic of fear is so prevalent in the Bible. We also emphasized that God has not given us the spirit of fear but love, power and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.

Welcome to the series, “More Than Conquerors,” where we are learning about overcoming and conquering fear. Today we will have a brief review of points learned on how to overcome and conquer fear from Episode 1, "Interview with a Warrior." We witnessed Apostle Charles G. Episode 1: “Conquering Fear” Subtitle: “Interview with a Warrior”

Thank you for joining us today in the new series, “More Than Conquerors.” I hinted in an earlier podcast that we would be discussing the topic of fear. We have now come to that time. We will, of course, look in‑depth at what the Bible says about fear and how we are already conquerors over fear. I believed it would be appropriate to start this series out with a true‑to‑life hero who has faced and conquered fear on the battlefield. That person is Charles G. Wright. Charles served in the United States Army from August 3, 1966, until August 2, 1968. He was an infantry medic. He served in Vietnam in 1967. He has received the Bronze Star with the “V” Device (for heroism) and the Purple Heart (for injuries he sustained in war), the Vietnam Service Campaign, and Campaign National Defense. After his service, he graduated from college, has since received his Masters in Practical Theology, is a father of two daughters and the grandfather of five. He has been ordained as an elder, bishop, and apostle. He is also my husband of 48 years. We will present only a portion of his experiences in today’s episode and will present other excerpts in future episodes. How to humiliate a tyrant could be the subtitle to today's presentation. Haman is forced to openly honor his enemy Mordecai on the king's orders. She was the enemy in the camp. A spy who conspired with the Israelites to destroy her city-Jericho. But she did it for the love of her family, not for her own selfish gain. Her name is Rahab, a prostitute through whose bloodline was descended Jesus, the Son of God. She was a bad girl transformed from harlot to hero and became known as a woman of faith in the New Testament. Married five times and still in search of peace, comfort, and security. Then she met a man who said He would be her Peace, He would be her Comforter and He would be her Provider. That man was Jesus and the woman was a Samaritan whom we know as the Woman at the Well. At one time, she was the object of scorn, but her scorn became her testimony, and those who heard her testimony became Believers in Jesus.

Ruth was about to lose her home, her land, everything. She would be counted among the homeless. Then, there he was, Boaz, the one who promised to deliver her out of all her debt and he gave her something money could not buy. Listen closely as we learn about "our" Boaz, the promises He fulfilled, debts He dissolved, and redemption to eternal life and everlasting love that only He could deliver.

This week we extend our study on “faith,” the seventh fruit of the Spirit, from Galatians 5:22. Episode 10, “Empowering Faith”; Empowered Series on The Fruit of the Holy Spirit

Hello, this is Apostle Charles Wright and today we are going to discuss faith, the seventh fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22. Now, according to the Book of Ephesians, Chapter 3, and verses 16 through 17, Paul made a statement in which CGM is in agreement. The statement in this book and verses of Ephesians, states, “I pray that out of his glorious riches, [referring to Jesus] that he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Ephesians 3:16-17. 

This is Episode 10, which is entitled, “Empowering Faith” from CGM’s Empowered Series on the Fruit of the Spirit. We will look at Jesus and His faith, how Jesus shared His faith, and how Jesus imparted faith to us.
