Hello and welcome to Episode 3, in our series “Empowered.” This series is about being empowered by the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit as we continue the work that Christ started in the earth. Today’s podcast is entitled, “Be Not Afraid.”  We encourage you to listen to the first two podcasts in this series because that is where we lay a good foundation for this series. 

 We are going to talk about how the Holy Spirit was sent from heaven to empower and embolden us against fear. We have seen so many things happening in the United States and in the world that could shake us up if we let it, but we are not going to be shaken up because we have confidence in God and His Word says we will not be shaken (Hebrews 12:27). Jesus said He would never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5) because the Holy Ghost would be sent from heaven and would abide with us forever. (John 14:16). We cannot do the work of God if we are walking around scared all the time. So, we are going to discuss how the Holy Ghost not only empowers us but emboldens us to do the work we have been called to do.

We welcome you to CG Missions New Podcast Series “Empowered” and the first episode entitled, “The Comforter.” We thank everyone for being with us today, and thank you, our listeners, for your support in the past, and for your continued support.” This podcast series is about being empowered by the Holy Spirit/Holy Ghost to continue the work Jesus started on the earth. That empowerment is spoken of in Acts, Chapter 1, verse 8. Jesus told His disciples after His resurrection and before He ascended into heaven, “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” We will look more closely at who the Holy Spirit is after we talk about the Holy Spirit's role as our Comforter. It was Christmas morning and Rhonda couldn’t wait to see if she got the bridal doll she asked her mom for. She ran to the Christmas tree and looked for the gift with her name on it. There it was, she unwrapped the box and  . . .

Hello and welcome to Day12, of CGMissions Christmas Podcast. Today’s podcast is dedicated especially to our children. It is entitled “Christmas Prayers.” We hope you are being encouraged by these podcasts. Stay to the end of today’s presentation to hear Christmas music and announcements.

Before we get to our Christmas memory share brought to us by Rhonda from Iowa, let’s hear a few scriptures.

Psalm 34:7 Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Isaiah 65:24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

Now, let’s go to the true story of Rhonda and the Bridal Doll submitted by Rhonda from Iowa.

“We were very poor growing up, but happy. During that year I was about ten years old and bridal dolls were very popular and I wanted one sooooo bad I could just cry. Somehow at that age, I knew that mom could not afford a doll just for me and there were six other children that wanted things too. Still, I wanted it. As a 10-year‑old child, I knew about praying as I lived around the corner from [two well-known churches in the community] and just knew they prayed as sometime I, and a few of us would go to church there. So, I prayed, as a 10‑year‑old child with innocence of heart, I too prayed to God. And Christmas morning I got the bridal doll. As I look back on this, I now see this was the start of my prayer life with God. Sometimes things are not as clear when we are little but, as we grow, He (God) shows us his plan for us. Thank you, Lord, for showing me as a child THAT PRAYER CHANGES THINGS AND I AM NOW A PRAYER WARRIOR!!! (emphasis added by Rhonda).

Thank you, Rhonda. That is a beautiful Christmas memory about, not one, but three Christmas gifts we are going to talk about.

The theme of these podcasts is and the topic for today is not letting anything steal your Christmas. Stay with us. Our first scripture is from Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.” And because He is the Prince of Peace, Isaiah 54:17 tells us, “No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against us in judgment we shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is of me, saith the Lord.”

We are going to look at two people who waited for many years to see God fulfill His promise to them and those two people are Anna and Simeon.

Hello Everyone and welcome to Episode 3, of our series, “More Than Conquerors.” This series is about overcoming and conquering fear. Today we will have a brief review of past episodes, then we will start Episode 3, “Wise Woman Conquers Warriors” Subtitle: “Fools, Fear, and Food” based on 1 Samuel 25. I will also be sharing a personal experience I had with overcoming and conquering fear. We encourage you to listen to Episodes 1 and 2 of this series. In Episode 1, we interviewed Apostle Charles G. Wright and learned how he overcame and conquered his fears in war and received the Bronze Star with the “V” Device (for heroism) and the Purple Heart (for injuries he sustained in war). In Episode 2, we listed five points on how to overcome and conquer fear learned from Episode 1. We also studied the roots of fear and how it was the first emotion Adam and Eve experienced after they ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. We believe that is the reason fear is a favorite tool of the devil to try to intimidate us and why the topic of fear is so prevalent in the Bible. We also emphasized that God has not given us the spirit of fear but love, power and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7.

Episode 1: “Conquering Fear” Subtitle: “Interview with a Warrior”

Thank you for joining us today in the new series, “More Than Conquerors.” I hinted in an earlier podcast that we would be discussing the topic of fear. We have now come to that time. We will, of course, look in‑depth at what the Bible says about fear and how we are already conquerors over fear. I believed it would be appropriate to start this series out with a true‑to‑life hero who has faced and conquered fear on the battlefield. That person is Charles G. Wright. Charles served in the United States Army from August 3, 1966, until August 2, 1968. He was an infantry medic. He served in Vietnam in 1967. He has received the Bronze Star with the “V” Device (for heroism) and the Purple Heart (for injuries he sustained in war), the Vietnam Service Campaign, and Campaign National Defense. After his service, he graduated from college, has since received his Masters in Practical Theology, is a father of two daughters and the grandfather of five. He has been ordained as an elder, bishop, and apostle. He is also my husband of 48 years. We will present only a portion of his experiences in today’s episode and will present other excerpts in future episodes. We also ended the episode with Haman being taken away to the second banquet Queen Esther planned at which only he and King Ahasuerus were guests. Haman had an opportunity to change his tomorrow before the second banquet. We find out today whether he changed his tomorrow for the better.

Hello, this is Apostle Charles Wright and today we are going to discuss faith, the seventh fruit of the Spirit listed in Galatians 5:22. Now, according to the Book of Ephesians, Chapter 3, and verses 16 through 17, Paul made a statement in which CGM is in agreement. The statement in this book and verses of Ephesians, states, “I pray that out of his glorious riches, [referring to Jesus] that he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.” Ephesians 3:16-17. 

This is Episode 10, which is entitled, “Empowering Faith” from CGM’s Empowered Series on the Fruit of the Spirit. We will look at Jesus and His faith, how Jesus shared His faith, and how Jesus imparted faith to us.
