What It Means To Be Great Greatness in God's Kingdom means having the same attitude as Christ.  This was an attitude of humble service to God and others. He said the greatest among us would be the servant of all.  Philippians 2, also gives us a glimpse into this by explaining that even though Jesus was equal to God, He humbled Himself, taking on the form of a servant and ultimately submitted to death on the cross so that others would receive life. Go! Jesus told his disciples to go into all the world and tell of His good news!  Last week, you learned what the good news is (the gospel) and now, you'll learn how to go and tell it to others. Practice, Practice, Practice Getting the basics down is key in any activity.  We give THREE examples from Scripture of ways you can explain the gospel which you can begin to learn, memorize and then put in to practice. Three Examples 1 Corinthians 15 Christ died for our sins according to The Scriptures, He was buried, and He rose from the dead, according to the scriptures Acts 17 The God who made the world and everything in it, is The Lord of Heaven and Earth. He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness by The Man whom He has appointed. Of this, He has given assurance to all by raising Him from the dead Multiple Verses: All Scripture This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. For the wages of sin is death but God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. The righteous for the unrighteous that he might bring us to God.  He, Himself, bore our sins in His body on the tree that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. Repent, therefore, and turn back that your sins may be forgiven and times of refreshing may come from the presence of The Lord, because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.  For with the heart one believes and is justified and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. _________________________________________________________________________ So what did you think? The Good News Do you know what you do when you have good news??  You tell someone about it!!! Actually, you want to tell EVERYONE, especially if it's not just good news for you but will benefit others too.  I've got some really good news for you. Here it is... Because of His great love and while we were still sinners, God became a man to deal with our sin problem.  Two thousand years ago, Jesus was sent as The Savior of the world. He lived the perfect life which we could never live and took upon Himself the punishment that we deserved, so that we could be saved.  He rose from the dead and grants eternal life to all those who would trust in Him. Repent and Believe As witnesses of this miraculous event, Jesus disciples, not only preached this message but they taught others to do the same.  They went into all the world, calling people to repent (turn back to God) and believe in Jesus!  We want you to do the same, so that your sins would be forgiven!   _________________________________________________________________________ So what did you think?
