The more content there is that uplifts, edifies, and speaks truth, the more opportunities are created for us to connect with God and each other. Every day I put out content that is a little bit of my perspective on the gospel of Jesus Christ, a lot bit doctrine, a little bit my life as a High School Seminary Teacher for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The words expressed are my opinion and not that of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Welcome to the experience!

Hey y'all! Thanks for clicking on this podcast to see what it’s all about!
I know that there are now A TON of podcasts out there, so I know one question that is on your mind is “What makes this one so different than the other podcasts?”
Well for one, this podcast is what I and maybe others would call a “religious-themed” podcast. Yes, it is more of a Christian-based podcast. I am a teacher of religion at a high school level. This podcast is meant for me to, again, hopefully bring some value to your day with a little bit of love, a little bit of humor, and a little bit of Jesus! :D
There are a lot of things we can learn from each other, no matter what religion you are. I’m here to share the perspective from one Christian in this world. What I share is not meant to represent the stance or opinion of the Christian religion as a whole, nor the church to which I belong. Which, in case you were wondering is the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (aka the Mormons).
We all have different views of life because of the different experiences we’ve gone through—as well as the experiences we are currently going through. My hopes is to just share some of my journey with you and the thoughts, beliefs, love, hopes, etc. that I have about it all!
Thanks again for checking it out and I hope you enjoy the podcast!

Every single day we have a choice to make: to be a hider (someone who just sits around waiting for things to happen) or a seeker (someone who knows what they want and does everything and looks everywhere they can for it).
Which one are you TODAY?

We always get so wrapped up in the "small" and inconvenient things that happen in life. But it's not always something to blame on the devil. Or God for that matter. Sometimes, stuff just happens--because of choice. We all got it!

Too often do we try to do things by ourselves. Jesus Christ is here to help us carry our burdens.
Over the last couple days in class, we've been talking about Matthew 11:28-30 and how Jesus Christ offers ultimate rest for our souls if we will just come to Him and give Him our burdens. He will help us carry them. His grace will give us strength. His grace will give YOU strength. His grace will give you support. His grace will give you peace.
All you gotta do is go to Him.
Have a great day!

Happy Friday podcast peeps! I hope you have a fantastic weekend! Thanks for listening.
We cannot go about learning Godly things in a solely worldly way. That's just not how it works. We have to go about it spiritually. And that's what I talk about in this episode, giving you 5 things that will help you build a foundation of learning those spiritual truths

Hey podcast peeps! Today's episode is just a little bit of a taste of some of the content that I was giving some seminary students today for the first day of school back from Summer!
The kind of results you get match the kind of effort you put into it. If you want the same results, keep doing the same thing. If you want different results, do things differently. It's simple, but hard, but also possible! Don't give up! Love you guys.

We all know how hard it is to come back to school after an amazing summer, right?! It's the WORST! But really it's only so bad because we've gotten out of the habits that help make school at least a little bit more bearable. We want to share with you some of the things that we know will help you as you prepare for school in about 2 weeks prior!

I was scrolling through Twitter this morning and read something that helped stoke the fire back up! And I wanted to share it with you as a reminder of what the purpose of this podcast is.
If you're like me, listening to music ALL THE TIME, then you might also be like me in sometimes wanting to throw different things in the mix. That's what this podcast is. And what makes this podcast so different than some of what you already listen to is the divine element that I try to include via talking about heavenly things that draw us closer to Jesus!
I want to bring a little more light, hope, and happiness into your life--and this is one way that I know how to do it. So, enjoy! And share it with your friends and family!

Today's episode has been on my mind as I have looked at my own life and thinking about the way we all live our lives. If our actions had voices of their own and they voted on what was truly important to us, what would they say? We've gotta make it something that we regularly do--making sure our actions line up with what we think and say are our priorities. Once we do that, I think our world begins to change dramatically.

"Strengthening Each Other" by Gordon B. Hinckley (Feb 1985 Ensign)
"It is important to know, when you feel down, that many others do also and that their circumstances are generally much worse than yours. And it’s important to know that when one of us is down, it becomes the obligation of his friends to give him a lift. I hope that each of us will cultivate a sensitivity toward the feelings of others, and when encouragement is needed, make an effort to extend it. Be a friend, and you will have a friend. God be thanked for wonderful friends."
Don't forget to encourage people in their efforts to be better or maintain! If we were to all be more actively engaged spreading encouragement, I think we all would have a lot more confidence in ourselves and in being ourselves, rather than trying to please other people whose opinions don't even matter.

THIS PODCAST IS ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE HIGH SCHOOL AGE AND YOUNGER!!! I really want you to think about what your role is in achieving happiness in your family. Like, WHAT IS YOUR ROLE? Yes, we know, especially as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, what the roles of Fathers/Husbands and Mothers/Wives are...but what about the kids of the family? I know it's a weird thing to think about, especially given our current cultural beliefs, but still something ridiculously important I think we should all think about! Let me know what you think!

Huge shoutout to Ke Ola I Ka Wai: "Where there is life in the water, there is life in the people." They help make all of this possible! If you are in the market for some fresh drinking water without any of the chemicals that a lot of other waters have, check out www.diviniawater.com. It's also a gift that you can give that quenches the thirst without quenching the wallet!

Just a quick thought for your morning/day that I hope helps you look at the scriptures, specifically the Doctrine and Covenants, a little differently. Do something to grow your relationship with the One that is the source for all things good.
Question: Why is it important to know who God is and what He is like?
Let me know what you think!

Today's episode hits on a sensitive topic, but I think it so important for all of us to realize again and again, every year. While a lot of us celebrate Christmas as the greatest time of the year, which I personally believe it is, there are others around us who don't feel the same. Please be aware of those around you who may not love Christmas time for some reason, be empathetic and loving toward them, and spread the Light of the Gospel who is Jesus Christ.
Thanks for listening!

With the annual #LightTheWorld initiative that the Church has been doing for the past few years, a question that I know I always have is "How can I even make a difference to other people around the world that need help?" I love that the Church has created the Giving Machines that have now been announced as having new locations in places like New York, Manila, and London! in the episode I just share a few thoughts of mine about how we can make at least a tiny bit of difference for people thousands of miles away. It doesn't have to be through a monetary donation to an organization, but it sure is SOMETHING that we can do while living in our "comfortable" communities.
I would love to hear what you guys are doing to Light the World so that I can even share some ideas with everyone on how to Light the World!

This is an idea that TRULY has changed my life. It has changed the way that I think about my actions. It has changed my prayers. It has changed the way I rely on the Savior, Jesus Christ. I really hope you catch what we're trying to say with today's episode because it is one of the most fundamental things that we must figure out if we want our lives to be more filled with happiness and purpose.

This episode not only has application to those of you whom we are trying to reach, but hits a personal note for me. Love these talks! I talk about Michelle D. Craig's talk "Divine Discontent" and Bro Pete covers President Ballard's talk "The Vision of the Redemption of the Dead." There is huge value in what you can take out of this episode, so we hope you find it and enjoy!

Please don't forget that God is aware of you. Even if you are doing all the right things, there is always potential for things to go how we did not expect them to. But the love and peace and strength of Jesus Christ is ALWAYS there to sustain us through.

It's time for some evaluation questions to make sure that you are doing what you want to do, the way you want to do it, in order to accomplish what you really want to accomplish! Here are just some questions that may help you think about how your week is going and how it will end.
Self Evaluation Questions
Am I happy doing what I’m doing, the way I’m doing it?
If I can’t change my circumstance, how can I change the way I see my circumstance?
What is it that I’m wanting to accomplish this week?
Have I helped anyone this week?
How do I feel about myself this week? What can I do for myself before the end of the week?
What successes have I had this week?

I wanted to share with you some thoughts that I've been having over just this passed weekend about success. It seems that the very nature of the word insinuates forward movement or progression. So any progression is a success! Hope you enjoy it!
Twitter & Instagram: @brostandaily
Quotes in this episode:
"The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand." - Vince Lombardi
"Success isn't always about greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come." - Dwayne Johnson
"If to err is human nature, how many failures will it take us until our nature is no longer human but divine? Thousands? More likely a million.
Knowing that the strait and narrow path would be strewn with trials and that failures would be a daily occurrence for us, the Savior paid an infinite price to give us as many chances as it would take to successfully pass our mortal probation.
To keep our hope resilient as we face life's trials, the Savior's grace is ever ready and ever present. His grace is a 'divine means of help or strength,...'" - Lynn G. Robbins

Trying out a new schedule this week that requires me to come in EXTRA early to work, even before the gym at 5am! Super early! But necessary in order for me to get more things done--which will lead to me being able to spend more QUALITY time doing what I love with the people I love! So today's thoughts are coming from thinking about the new schedule! If we want results, we GOTTA put in the work! Hope you enjoy it!
