This week we join Ben from UnchartedX and Hugh Newman, one of the founders of Megalithomania. We turn once again to Egypt and Ben's excellent footage and photos to look at the Valley Temple on the Giza Plateau, and the Osereion, as possible examples of megalithic structures showing different stages of construction, possibly built at very different times. Again, it is in the details that really interesting possibilities about these structures come forward, and we take a close look at these details on this episode.

We have some excellent discussions about the possible purposes of these mysterious structures, and Hugh Newman brings new and interesting insights for us to consider.

We also talk about upcoming Egypt tours. Hugh Newman is cohosting one later this year, get more details here:

Episode 191: The Hidden History of the Human Race - Part 1
0 perc 100. rész Brothers of the Serpent
We start our next book report series, this time on The Hidden History of the Human Race by Michael Cremo and Richard Thompson. This book, which is a condensed version of their original work, "
Forbidden Archaeology", is filled with fascinating anomalies of archaeology and paleoanthropology, ranging from evidence of butchering in fossilized bones, to complex constructions, all found in geological contexts that seem to put them into far earlier times that current science allows for.

This episode, we read the various forwards, prefaces, and preambles of the book, establishing the methods of research and identifying the limitations of understanding in the field. We then take a look at the first set of anomalies presented in the book, which are fossil animal bones with signs of human butchering.

We return again to swapcasting with Ben from UnchartedX, and this week we are also joined by Jahannah James (check out her youtube channel here) who was on the recent Egypt trip with Ben. The four of us go through Ben's footage and their observations and memories of the trip and the sites of the Karnak and Luxor temples in Egypt. We discuss the beautiful dynastic architecture, and how it seems to be surrounding and enclosing objects of a much different and possibly much more ancient nature....the monolithic statues and obelisks, for example.
There are also incredibly beautiful monolithic doorways carved from single pieces of hard stone, some of which seem to have undergone a mysterious event that caused incredible damage to them.

We ponder these mysteries and many more as we look at the footage and the imagery that Ben provides. And yes, we know that it is sometimes frustrating to listen to something like this when you can't see the visuals. The video will be up soon on all of our channels, so look for it there, and thanks for your patience.

Tony joins us this week to revisit the topic of Atlantis. This time we look at the details of the city and civilization itself, and the many possible places and times people have theorized it may have existed. Was it an antediluvian civilization, or might it have existed much more recently, in the bronze age? Was it somewhere in the Atlantic ocean, or in another body of water? We look at Morocco, Malta, Richat, Azores, Bolivia, and many other places.

Possibly, as with so many of these ancient mysteries, we will never really know.

We return to our series of video swapcasts with Ben from UnchartedX, this time to look at Ollantaytambo, the Coricancha, and a site known as "The Temple of the Moon" in Peru.

As always, Ben's footage is excellent, and we spend much of the show discussing details of the strange, rock-cut and apparently heavily damaged stonework, as well as the enigmatic megalithic work of Ollantaytambo and the Coricancha.

So little is known about the origins of these sites and structures, that all we can do is observe the details, ask questions, and wonder.

0 perc 100. rész Brothers of the Serpent

We are joined in-studio once again by Marty Garza to continue our discussion on the topic of UFOs, aliens, extraterrestrials, spiritual/interdimensional beings, and the incredibly varied and strange nature of this phenomenon.

As usual, Marty has done a ton of research and prepared copious notes for the show, and he guides us through multiple encounter stories from the military and civilians. For a while we focus on "USO" reports, or Unidentified Submerged Objects, also known as "Trans-medium vehicles", as they seem to operate as well in the water as out of it.

We look at some of the stranger aspects of "Skinwalker Ranch", and how the phenomena there seemed to range from entity sightings, to UFOs, flying orbs, cattle mutilations, voices, ghosts, and "demons".

Marty then takes the show in an interesting direction, looking at Gnostic, Hermetic, and old Christian considerations of "daimons" as beings both physical and non-physical, good and evil, existing at the periphery of perception.

We wrap up the discussion with talk about what the possible limits are, if any, to "technological advancement", as well as the breadth of possible configurations of life in the universe, and/or in "other universes" that may touch ours in certain ways, or perhaps in certain places....places that have been considered "sacred" since before recorded history.

For our third installment in the series of swapcasts we are doing with Ben from UnchartedX, we are joined by Matt from the excellent Ancient Architects YouTube channel. The four of us take a look at Ben's raw footage of the amazing and mysterious megalithic site of Sacsayhuaman in Peru, as well as the remains of beautiful megalithic, polygonal, "cyclopean" masonry in the city of Cuzco below.
Unlike Egypt, there is far less information available about these sites, what their true origins are, who built them, and why.

We ponder these questions, as well as the questions of how these sites were constructed, as they seem almost unbelievable in the details of the masonry....and yet there they stand. Someone did it. Who they were and how they did it are still mysteries.

Taking a break this week in the swapcast series we've been doing with Ben from UnchartedX, We take the time to respond to emails, which sparks some great discussion on the Serapeum and the pyramids and ancient, lost technology.

We then turn to the legends of a particular lost object which we have spoken of before, the legendary Shamir, which was said to have been able to cut and shape stone with ease. In some cases the Shamir itself was said to be a stone, but also maybe a living creature, a worm of some kind, or perhaps an herb or some other plant.

Whatever the Shamir was, it seems clear that some ancient people could work stone in ways that we do not understand in modern times.

In our second swapcast in the series with Ben from UnchartedX, we are joined by Chuck, host of the excellent YouTube channel cf-apps7865. The four of us spend a couple of hours watching Ben's footage inside and around the "second great pyramid" at Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Khafre.

There are lots of fascinating details about this structure, which doesn't receive nearly as much attention as its nearby companion, the Great Pyramid. Ben shows us the tunnels beneath it, the chambers in the bedrock below it, the enormous amount of work the builders went through to cut a flat area from the bedrock in which to build it, and the line of granite rubble that surrounds the bottom of it, all that is left of the granite casing stones that used to cover the first few courses of core masonry.

We also look at some other interesting features of the Giza plateau related to this pyramid, such as the Sphinx Causeway, the Valley Temple, and the megalithic "tile" stones that were used to make a flat surface around the pyramids.

We join Ben from UnchartedX in the first of a series of swapcast episodes where we go through some of his amazing footage of ancient sites he's visited. In this episode we focus on the Serapeum of Saqqara in Egypt and the mystery of the massive, precision stone "boxes" in that site. How did they make them, what were they for, how did they move them into place through those small tunnels? How old are they really?
We look at a lot of the little details in Ben's footage that shows us how deep the mystery of these artifacts really is.

Since this is a visual episode, there will be video of the entire conversation that includes the clips Ben showed us. So look for that on our YouTube channel, or on Ben's. But we did our best to provide descriptions for audio listeners.

In this episode Russ gives a presentation, with slides, about the standard model processes that take place in stars to generate elements, how that process eventually results in novas and supernovas, and how supernovas and other similar very high energy events generate cosmic rays. When these cosmic rays hit earth, they result in "cosmogenic nuclides" like the radioactive Carbon 14 that is so often used to date material in archaeological settings.

We also run through a short list of the most often used dating techniques, how they work, what the problems are, what the ranges are, and what the margins of error are. We also look at the various assumptions and methods and theory behind these techniques.

This is our final episode for 2020, and we streamed it live to the Discord, which is always fun. The Watcher was there, plus a lot of the Discord Snakeforce, trolling us non-stop in the chats while we recorded the episode.

We had a lot of listener emails backed up, plus we had a "stack of stuff" that we hadn't yet gotten to on the show, so for this episode we go through all the emails and respond to them, plus we read some articles on possible alien signals being detected, the sun may be actually about to enter into a really powerful new solar cycle rather than a weak one, and a jeweler who uses ultrasonic tools that leave very similar marks on the stones he works, as what is often seen in Egypt, Peru, and other places with mysterious ancient stonework.

In the last segment, Kyle talks about his renewed interest in the "search for dark matter" being undertaken by standard model physicists, what he is learning, what he hopes to learn, and what he thinks so far about what he is discovering. Dark matter, and dark energy, may be part of a resonant effect that permeates the entirety of the observable universe.

George Howard joins us once again on the show, this time to talk about his recent trip to Egypt with Ben from UnchartedX. We talk with George about his impressions of the pyramids, the Sphinx, the Valley Temple, the Osireion, the Bent Pyramid, the unfinished obelisk, the Temple of Hathor, and of course, the Serapeum and the enigmatic stone boxes inside it. George tells us about the somewhat harrowing experience of descending over a hundred feet into a narrow shaft to see other granite boxes beneath the Giza plateau. We talk about George's overall impressions of the constructions he saw, and about the possibility of some of the objects being "precursor" artifacts, surround by later dynastic constructions.

George has posted about the trip on his excellent blog, The Cosmic Tusk.

He has also posted a collection of over 500 images from the trip.

Aside from the conversation with George, we also open a bunch of 1-up boxes (it was like Christmas in the Tangent Cube), and we read articles about the re-discovered Dixon artifact from the Great Pyramid, papers showing that Issac Newton believed the pyramid contained ancient secrets about the Earth and the apocalypse, and that the modern Venus is like ancient Earth while modern Earth is like ancient Venus.

Archer Finley joins us again, this time from afar, for a continued discussion of Tesla's wireless transmission project and to answer questions that episode generated from listeners (and us).
This leads to a discussion of one of Tesla's other projects, "Telegeodynamics", or, the transmission of mechanical energy through the body of the earth....also sometimes referred to as "the earthquake machine".

Then we read an article sent by a listener about a project to understand what kinds of long-term geological signatures might be left on a planet by an advanced civilization, and how we might look for these kinds of signatures in earth's geological history, and how this could help us find signatures of advanced civilizations on distant exoplanets.

This leads into a discussion of the current state of the search for exoplanets, what astronomers are finding, and what this data implies about the actual number of planets out there in the universe.

We also discuss the concept of an astronomical "standard candle", also known as a Type 1a Supernova, the standard model theoretical process by which these events happen, and how modern astrophysicists and cosmologists used them to measure the expansion rate of the universe, which lead to the concept of "dark energy".

We end the show with a special bonus segment where we talk about large resonant systems, and how they tend to want to synchronize the component parts, and how this possibly applies to Velikovsky's ideas.

Also it explains pyramids.

0 perc 100. rész Brothers of the Serpent

We are joined this week by Seriah Azkath, from the Where Did the Road Go podcast, to talk about an idea he's been working on for a while now. We discuss poltergeist activity, bigfoot, UFOs, time loops, ghosts, EVP, Point Pleasant and the Mothman, Men in Black, Near Death Experiences, parapsychology and ESP abilities, and retrocausality, and how all of these might in some way be either part of the same phenomena, or be multiple phenomena resulting from the same underlying cause.

A big part of this is Seriah's point that many of these seemingly disparate types of events have similar features;  for example, the kinds of things that people call "poltergeists" when they happen in a house, are attributed to sasquatch when they happen in the wilderness. A glowing light floating around in an abandoned building is a "ghost", while a glowing light in the sky is a "UFO".

Retrocausality is a big part of the function of the Mechanism that Seriah is proposing....that events in the future can have an effect on the present, through the medium of consciousness. We discuss how this has been demonstrated multiple times in different studies, and how this might tie together a lot of incidents that are attributed to different types of experiences.

We are joined once again by Snakeforce member Tony Petrangelo to continue discussing the topic of Plato's Atlantis, and whether this story could have possibly been referring to the time period of the bronze age collapse and the invasion of Egypt by the mysterious "Sea People".

Tony leads us through the complexities of bronze age civilizations in the Mediterranean, looking at clay tablets of letters being written from one king to another describing the state of their kingdoms and the problems they were facing.  We also look at the description of the invasion and defeat of the Sea People in Egypt, how they were described, and what they were called, and where they may have been from.

In the end, what Tony is showing us are the correlations to these events and some of the details given by Plato. He doesn't have a "location" of Atlantis, or an idea of "who" the "Atlanteans" were. Rather, he is looking at the evidence to see if this may have been the time period for the events described by Plato.

This is the final part of our deep dive into Laird Scranton's The Velikovsky Heresies. For this final part we look at more evidence of ancient astronomers apparently seeing Venus in strange places or in ways that do not match current models. We read about Venus' apparently young surface, thin lithosphere that consists of one single "tectonic plate", its active vulcanism, and evidence of upper atmospheric lightning. We read about Venus having a very rare chemical in its atmosphere that is usually only found associated with cometary bodies.

The book wraps up with a concise list of interesting points that seem to indicate that modern scientific discoveries do sometimes support some of Velikovsky's predictions, and whether this means all of his ideas were right or not is still a matter up for debate.

This week we are joined once again by Bob Johnson for the first hour of the show to talk about his experiences in Egypt and Saudi Arabia as a geologist, this time in the context of the subject of the story of Exodus. Bob directed us to watch a short documentary detailing a possible "alternate route" to the legendary Mount Sinai, the Mountain of Moses.

That mountain is commonly thought to be in the Sinai peninsula, but the documentary shows that it may actually be in Saudi Arabia, on the eastern side of the Gulf of Aqaba. There are many features and places besides the mountain itself that seem to match up with the story told in Exodus, lending credence to this possibility.

Bob spent decades working in this area and knows the geology very well, so as we go through the evidence for this alternate possibility, he gives his own thoughts on the pros and cons of the concept.

There is a lot of map work in this part of the show, so we did record some video of Bob pointing to places on the map for the first hour, which you can see if you go to our Youtube channel. Below are links to the documentary itself and a few screenshots of the maps of the area.

With all the UFO stuff in the news recently, we've been thinking we need to do an episode dedicated to the topic. So this week we are joined in-studio by Marty Garza, a former MUFON investigator with decades of interest and research in the subject of UFOs.

We invited Marty to come spend a day with us.  We hung out, drank beers and talked about UFOs. Then we got in the studio and recorded an episode on the subject. Marty brought a stack of books with him and had copious notes, and we could tell half way through recording this episode that it was going to have to be a multi-part deep dive. So there will be future UFO episodes with Marty until we finish going through all of his notes.

0 perc 100. rész SnakeBros

This week we speak with Linda Zimmermann, author of Mysterious Stone Sites, about the stone effigies, dolmen, balanced rocks, and chambers of the Hudson Valley area. Linda has done extensive research on the archeo-astronomy of the chambers, walls, and other strange stone features found in the northeastern United States, and she shares a wealth of information and experiences with us, detailing her efforts to travel to various sites during solstices and equinoxes to witness for herself the celestial alignments.

At the end of the show she also gives us a quick rundown of the many interesting UFO cases in the Hudson Valley area, and relates one of her own experiences with a strange object in the sky.

We talk with Glenn Kreisberg, author of Spirits in Stone, about the many megaliths, dolmens, standing stones, and stone effigy sites in the northeastern U.S.

Although there are undoubtedly many colonial artifacts like stone piles and stone border walls throughout the northeastern United States, Glenn describes how some of these sites display celestial and internal alignments that make them unlikely to be the constructions of farmers clearing land and marking borders. He also gives several ways of trying to determine if one is looking at a "colonial" construction, or something much more ancient and interesting.

We also briefly discuss some of his work on Malta, and the seemingly anomalous acoustical properties of the Hypogeum.

Episode #159: Laird Scranton on Ancient Wisdom
0 perc 100. rész SnakeBros
We have an excellent conversation with author Laird Scranton about his research into the wisdom of the ancients; the Dogon, the ancient Egyptians, the ancient Hindu traditions, and more, all seem to contain parts of a precise scientific understanding of the cosmos, life, consciousness, and the nature of matter and energy. Laird describes how many of these ancient traditions express this understanding through the use of symbols that are often the same or very similar even across distant cultures.
We talk about the "civilizer gods", the Apkallu, the Seven Sages, and the Viracochas...all of which may be the result of beings from the "immaterial realm" crossing over during the times when our universe is closest to theirs, in order to teach and establish systems of knowledge that will survive across many thousands of years when the two realms are too "distant" to fully interact.

A very interesting conversation that left us with a lot to ponder.

Enjoy!

In this final episode of our deep dive into the hybridization and evolution topic, we continue to go through Dr. Eugene McCarthy's material on his website about hybridization and stabilization. After a few final words on the subject of "species", we read about hybridization itself and how common it really is in the wild. We talk about generational hybrids, reciprocal crosses, backcross breeding, extinction and absorption, intermediacy in characteristics, and more.

Near the end of the show we also read some excerpts from the section of the website that discusses the possibility that modern humans are a product of hybridization long ago, and that we all still show the evidence of it in fertility, morphology, and characteristics as well.

Continuing on from last week's discussion, we read and respond to emails about evolution and how people think about it in various ways, with analogies and references to consciousness and a possible spirit realm, or other more mechanistic ways of thinking about it. We talk to the Watcher about genetics and genetic expression in reproduction, and chromosome pairing.

Then we continue to dig through the information on MacroEvolution.net and the work of Dr. Eugene McCarthy, and his Stabilization Theory of evolution. We read about the "fuzzyness" of terms like "species", and how the entire process of the categorization of life is based in an idea of immutability of form, even though that concept has long since been discarded.

This leads to some reading from the excellent website of Dr. Eugene McCarthy and his theory of hybridization and stabilization as a better version of the evolutionary theory.

This is a topic with a lot of details, many of which we don't fully understand. We intend to work on it some more and perhaps dive deeper in the next episode.

Alex hosts the swapcast and plays clips from a video he produced with Bruce called 780,000: Our Alien Origin Story(see embedded video below).
In the hour we have with Bruce and Alex we talk briefly about some of the Into Africa material and the evidence for humans in South America in extreme antiquity, then move to the main topic, which is the information in Exogenesis. Following a trail made of dreams, shamanic experiences, and other similar immaterial sources, Bruce uncovers a lot of evidence that a series of extraordinary events took place on earth almost one million years ago, and these events may have shaped both the planet and the human race into what it is today.

He has visited many of the ancient sites we have discussed on our show, and gives us his personal perspectives of the many places he has visited, including the Serapeum, the Giza Plateau, Ba'albek, Petra, Malta, and many more.
We also discuss a very interesting case he worked on as a scientist and geologist, where mysterious, spontaneous fires were plaguing a small village, and the people living there were convinced the fires were being caused by the jinn.

We also talk about the science of geology itself, about uniformity and catastrophism, climate change and ice ages, flood myths and other ancient stories that may be supported by geological data, and much more.

We are joined in-studio by David Getzin, a longtime friend of the show, many of you may remember us reading his emails about good pipe tobacco and constructing a Djed Drill. He was on a cross-country road trip and stopped by to visit us here on the plateau, and once we started talking about ancient mysteries and other similar snakebro topics, we realized, we had to record a podcast with him. So we all climbed into the tangent cube and, amidst copious clouds of fine tobacco smoke and a few glasses of wine, we recorded this episode.

The discussion ranges across many topics, but the main idea David describes is something called the "Prime Symbol" in architectural expression of cultures and civilizations across the ages, how it changes, and what it means for us now in the modern age. We talk about the categorizations of Prime Symbol in past cultures and what they tell us about how those cultures viewed the world around them, and how that may help us understand how to better express a modern Prime Symbol in our own architecture.

We also read a couple of really great emails, and open three 1up boxes, which takes a long time, and is part of why this show is longer than usual. We probably will have to restrict ourselves to one box per episode in the future.

We pick up where we left off last week with the Count of St. Germain, and his strange ability to travel back and forth between warring aristocracy in Europe and England, the part he played in the coup of Catherine II over Peter III in Russia, and later, the implications that he may have staged his death and lived on, or even the possibility that he was, if not immortal, at least very long-lived.
We also look at Joseph Smith and the formation of the Mormon church, and some of the information said to have been written on the "metal plates" that Joseph was supposedly told to recover from a hidden place, which detail terrible catastrophes that fell on a civilization now lost to history.

Finally, we end with Bramley's message to anyone who wants to carry his research forward, and his outlining of several threads to pull on.

So instead we have Chris Cottrel from The Dabbler's Den on for a segment to talk to us about a new and fascinating idea that he and Antonio Zamora have been working on, related to the Carolina Bays,  called "Splash Chevrons". Chris shows us some of the LiDAR images he has been looking at that show these features(if you want to see the images, you can check our YouTube Channel for the video for this episode, as we did record video during the interview with Chris),  and we talk about what they might be.

We also have on our good friend Brendan Lea, who some of you may know from recent emails to the show about "nothing". We talk with him about his work with world champion martial artist Peter Ralston, but we talk not about "fighting", really, but something much deeper about the nature of reality itself and what that means(or doesn't), because part of the training he has undergone with Peter is about having an "enlightenment" experience of something absolute, and that changed his life and his entire outlook on reality itself.

We look at the beginnings of the Islamic faith, and the splintering and factioning that happened soon after. We look at the crusades, the Knights of St. John who became the Knights of Malta, and the Templars who became the Knights of Christ and later, the Freemasons. We look at the Assassins, and the powerful tool of the "lone assassin".

We also read a lot of listener communications talking about the previous Gods of Eden episodes, read an article from the Cosmic Tusk about space bacteria, and Kyle reads another great article written by a skerptard on the life and ideas of Dr. Freeman Dyson, which spurs a short conversation on the concept of "macrostructures" like the Dyson Sphere.

We also look into the mystery of the formation of coal itself, and how there are often dozens or even hundreds of layers of coal separated by layers of marine sediment.

Near the end of the book, Velikovsky again takes a look at the works of Charles Darwin and the problems of speciation in evolution by the mechanism of natural selection, and the assumptions about "missing evidence in the geological record" that must be made in order to make the uniformitarian view work.

We also open some great 1-Up boxes and read some emails, and Kyle reads a couple of very interesting space related articles.

We talk about the magnetic field of the earth and the evidence for field reversals in recent times, and what a field reversal might cause in the biosphere, and what could possibly be the mechanism for such an event, deep within the planet.

We also read about the enormous African Rift, which spans one third of the distance from pole to pole, and shows evidence of having been formed recently, by the sharpness of its features. We also dive into the problems if past ice ages seemingly having taken place in what are now equatorial regions, and what that might mean for possible pole shifts, or crustal shifts, and how that process might work in terms of physics and geophysics.

Then we move forward in the book to look at more instances of enormous amounts of plant and animal remains that are found broken, shattered, and crammed into caves and crevices around the world, where they are found fossilized today.

Also, in the second segment of the show, we interview Marc Young, an archaeology student from Australia who has been helping George Howard assemble a bibliography on the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis on the Cosmic Tusk website. After that, we dive back into the final parts of John Anthony West's "Serpent in the Sky", finishing up with the Sphinx, and finally reading about how skerptards are still skerptards and no one can seem to do anything about that.

We have an excellent discussion about all things ancient and mysterious with Mike and Maurice from the Mind Escape podcast. We talk about ancient structures, the mystery of the beginnings of agriculture and animal husbandry, global mythic stories, the deluge, the confusion of tongues, and much more! We also talk about how we all got started in podcasting and in exploring mysteries in general, and the value of seeking better questions rather than "answers".

Happy Thanksgiving to all our listeners in the US! Having just arrived back from the EarthKeepers Arklantis conference, and with holidays and family stuff tomorrow, we couldn't do a full show, so we did half of one. This SnakeByte is one hour of talk about the conference, listener emails, and a bunch of really great articles on the ScanPyramids project, new ancient sites discovered in Turkey(how apropos), a weird space sickness, and other interesting stuff, with our usual ridiculous commentary from the nickel seats.

Episode #123: Serpent in the Sky - Part 2
0 perc 73. rész SnakeBros

We continue our deep-dive into John Anthony West's excellent work, "Serpent in the Sky". In this episode, we finish with the main body of the book, but there are three appendices regarding the Sphinx, each written later in time as things developed. We are able to get through the first one, and partway through the second(which is about the arrival on scene of Dr. Robert Schoch), but even though we went a bit long, we weren't able to finish it or get to the third.

So the next episode will have the conclusion to this series.

Episode #122: Serpent in the Sky - Part 1
0 perc 72. rész SnakeBros

After completing our three-part deep dive into Christopher Dunn's "Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt", which was a very technical look at evidence for advanced engineering in Egypt, we thought it only fitting to dive right in to John Anthony West's excellent book, "Serpent in the Sky", which is another look at evidence of advanced concepts in ancient Egypt, only this time in a much more philosophical, metaphysical, and mathematical way.

Unlike Dunn's book, "Serpent in the Sky" is not interwoven around a travel narrative, and is also full of rather deep philosophical and esoteric concepts, which makes it more difficult to "synthesize" for a podcast, but we are going to do our best. This is part one of the attempt.

Episode #121: Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt - Part 3
0 perc 71. rész SnakeBros

We conclude our deep dive into Christopher Dunn's excellent book, "Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt" in this final episode of a three-part series by looking at Dunn's work and observations in Dendera, at the Temple of Hathor, and the ultra-precise machining evidence there. We also read some of his quotes from Flinders Petrie, the "father" of Egyptology, about the evidence for anomalous cutting of very hard stones in ancient Egypt.

And we conclude with a reading of part of Chris' conclusion of his book, where he lays it all out and basically says the standard model is wrong, whoever built these monuments and carved these objects had machine tools, and more importantly, machine-guided tools.

Episode #120: Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt - Part 2
0 perc 70. rész SnakeBros

This is part two of what is now obviously going to be a three-part series on a detailed look at engineer Chris Dunn's book, "Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt". In this part, we go back to the beginning of the book where Dunn is studying aspects of the many enormous monolithic statues that can be found in temples all over Egypt. Again and again, his studies find evidence of advanced planning, advanced machining, and the ability to check precision to a very high degree of accuracy.

We also read some very interesting accounts from the book, taken from the writings of explorers from previous centuries who delved into the Serapeum tunnels when the entrance was still concealed under sand.

There is so much information in this book! Part three coming next week.

We catch up on listener emails and comments and open a couple of 1up Boxes. Then Kyle reads a story about recent cattle mutilations in Oregon and we spend some time discussing the history of this strange phenomena and what the "popular" explanations are.

For the second half of the show, we dive into Christopher Dunn's excellent book "Lost Technologies of Ancient Egypt", looking at the Unfinished Obelisk in Aswan, an anomalous piece of granite with strange tool marks in Abu Roash, and the infamous "Core #7" found by Petrie. All of these objects hold clues as to the methods for working stone that were used by the ancients, and Dunn does an excellent job investigating them.

We talk with Dr. Martin Sweatman about his book, Prehistory Decoded, and his work on the symbols on the pillars of Gobekli Tepe.  Dr. Sweatman applies his understanding of statistical analysis and the scientific method toward testing new ideas about Gobekli Tepe's symbols possibly being related to zodiacal imagery and the Precession of the Equinoxes.

From there, he is able to take another look at ancient symbols across a wide range of time, from as far back as ~40,000BP and as recent as late neolithic to the early bronze age, showing that there may be a commonality across an enormous expanse of time, and that humans have been using a "language of the stars" that possibly stems from an exceedingly ancient common source.

He also has a section in his book detailing the work of the Comet Research Group and the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis, and how recent developments in the science of astronomy show that earth encounters cometary debris far more often than had previously been thought.

All in all it is a fascinating discussion!
