While attending Brigham Young University, Jeff started a tech company and later sold it to a Nasdaq-listed company. He then went on to invest in real estate, later realizing the appreciation in the market was unsustainable and sold his real estate holdings before the United States housing bubble burst. In 2007, Burningham co-founded Peak Capital Partners, a real estate investment firm that now has over $2 billion in assets under management. In 2014, Burningham launched Peak Ventures, the first institutional venture capital fund in Utah County. Peak Ventures has invested in a number of startups, including Podium, Divvy, Owlet, and Degreed.

The program which gives grants of between $4,000 and $6,000 to companies per position created of new high-paying jobs in rural counties (of the 4th,5th, and 6th classes).  
 
The REDI program is a great incentive for companies whether located within those rural counties or outside--perhaps nestled in the Silicon Slopes--to hire remote workers.  The benefit to these hiring companies, in addition to the grant, is an employee with a great work ethic located at home or in a satellite hub hired at less than Wasatch Front wages.

They recently launched Parsons Behle Labs and happily the first product to roll out of the lab is a tool designed to help navigate GDRP. The product is called GDPR IQ and will help companies comply with the GDPR in minutes, for a fraction of the price of a lawyer. A business or nonprofit answers simple questions about how it handles personal information. GDPR IQ takes that information and produces a set of customized compliance documents.

Dr. Susan R. Madsen

Dr. Madsen has been heavily involved for the last decade in researching the lifetime development of prominent women leaders. She has personally interviewed a host of women university presidents, U.S. governors, and international leaders, as well as studying many aspects of women and leadership more broadly. Susan has conducted related research in the U.S., the six Arab Gulf countries, China, and Eastern Europe.

Overall, Susan has authored or edited five books and has published well over 100 articles, chapters, and reports. She founded the Utah Women and Education Project in 2009 and continues to work with key Utah stakeholders on related efforts as the Director of the Utah Women & Education Intiatitive. In August of 2013, she founded the Utah Women & Leadership Project that she continues to direct today. She received her doctorate from the University of Minnesota in human resource development. She earned a master's degree in exercise science/wellness from Portland State University and a bachelor's from Brigham Young University in Speech Communication Education.
