Who is this girl I see, starring straight, back at me? WELL….is it Mulan? In this week’s episode The Beta Boys review the new Disney live action adaptation of one of their classic animated films: Mulan. The Bros give their takes on what worked and what didn’t work on Disney’s first action epic of this scale.

The world is still a shell of its former self. Things have not fully come back to normal. However, there are some promising signs of normalcy. Especially for us movie lovers. There are two BIG movies coming out IN THEATERS this month: New Mutants and Tenet. So, this raises the question…is it worth it? Should we go back to the theater? The Beta Bros weigh-in on this new moral dilemma and whether the studios should do more to take care of the audience.

The Boy’s also discuss the new DC slate of movies including: The Batman!!! Which just released a trailer, which looks fantastic. We talk about his creative process and his upcoming book of sketches available for purchase on his website. 

As we face these unprecedented times, we know that as men of color, as entertainers, as humans, The Beta Report has an obligation to stand in solidarity with our African-American and black brothers and sisters who are being unjustly murdered and mistreated in our country. The Beta Vault has briefly closed its doors for this week to make way for another Beta-ford contraption: a Time Traveling Hot Tub Beta Machine! The Beta Boys welcome John back for another episode and spare no time to strip him down and get him in their time traveling hot tub. On this episode we dive deep into Christopher Nolan’s new film Tenet. Is it a time travel movie or can it be something completely different? From Hiroshima tragedies to The Triads, secret deadly martial arts competition, and the first Captain America…who isn’t from America…this movie has it all!

The Beta Vault is now officially open! And, there is no better way to kick-off this series than with a movie that is as pure and joyful as Johnny 5 himself. The first movie out of the vault this week is: Short Circuit. If you love E.T., Gizmo, Sloth or any of the other quintessential 80’s buddy companions that we all loved and wished we had growing up, then this is the movie for you…that is, of course, if you could look past the blatant brown face, skunk dinners, and steamy sexually charged robot to human chemistry.

The Beta Boys react to the thrilling and all out insanity of this story, offering their most shocking moments of the series, their favorite characters, least favorite characters and what unanswered questions we may still have. 

The Beta Boys are back for round 2 of their Covid Quarantine Adventure. In this episode, the boys talk about what they’ve been up to during their quarantine stays at home. It takes original and licensed content alike and puts up a fresh update every 24 hours, giving the casual thumbnail surfer a chance to see what the rest of the country is watching and helping us make some fresh new finds in places we might have never looked…Yeah, i’m looking at you “Gentefied”. And, there’s no better time to bust out our string plucking picks than after the Super Bowl for a brand new Trailer Park.
